THE BBC CANCELS "SURVIVORS"

Released by Miss TV Girl

I am really sad to announce the cancellation of one my favorite new tv shows "Survivors".  The BBC has to decided to end the series after just two seasons, and in the world of the BBC that is just 12 episodes(six per season).

The remake of the 1970s cult sci-fi show  stars Julie Graham  and Max Beesley.  The show centered around a small group of survivors who struggle to stay alive after a deadly virus wipes out most of the world's population.

I personally found this show very entertaining despite the subject matter, due in part to the cast and writing.  Yes, these character fought against sometime unbearable obstacles, but their resilence and commitment to one another was genuine and heartfelt and made tuning in every week a complete joy.

"Survivors" will truly be missed, I will now have to watch the original to hopfully see what happened to the Survivors.  The remake supposely remains true to the essence of the original series.

A BBC spokeswoman confirmed: "The BBC is committed to making a broad range of varied and ambitious drama, but in order to achieve this we do have to move on from some pieces in order to allow new work to come through.

"After two series, Survivors will not be returning."

Miss TV Girl would like to honor the show and its cast as  next month's  Performers of the Month
