 "The Killing" tells the story of the murder of a teenage girl in Seattle and the subsequent police investigation. Based on the successful Danish television series "Forbrydelsen," "The Killing" weaves together three distinct stories around a single murder, including the detectives assigned to the case and their suspects, the victim's grieving family, and the local politicians connected to the case. As "The Killing" unfolds, it becomes clear that there are no accidents; everyone has a secret, and while the characters think they have moved on, their past still lingers.

AMC "BREAKING BAD" TO AIR SERIES MARATHONS BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8

This week, AMC kicks off a landmark marathon of its Emmy^® Award-winning drama “Breaking Bad,” featuring all 33 episodes from the series’ three seasons. Beginning with its critically acclaimed pilot through last season’s gripping cliffhanger finale, AMC will air two back-to-back episodes of “Breaking Bad” every Wednesday night through March 2011.


Throughout the series, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) – an unrepentant ‘everyman’ – battles dueling identities: a desperate husband and father trying to provide for his family, and a newly appointed key player in the Albuquerque drug trade.
The inaugural season of “Breaking Bad” premiered in January 2008 to overwhelming critical acclaim from audiences and critics The drama has won six Emmy^® Awards, a Peabody, multiple Guild Awards, and was named one of AFI’s Top 10 Television Programs (2008).  The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television.

WHEN: AMC’s “Breaking Bad” Marathon begins Wednesday, December 8 immediately following AMC’s “Action Pack” programming block with the Pilot episode followed by Episode 101, “Cat’s in the Bag.”  Two episodes will air back-to-back each Wednesday night through March 2011.

AMC CANCELS "RUBICON"

AMC has decided to cancel the conspiracy thriller after just one season.

"Rubicon" gave us an opportunity to tell a rich and compelling story, and we're proud of the series," AMC said in a statement. "This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team." critically acclaimed but low rated conspiracy  thriller after just one season.

 I pretty much bailed on "Rubicon" around the 5th episode, due to its inability in my opinion to move the story along.  "Rubicon" was also a very hard series to get excited to watch, due to its somber subject matters and dreary settings. I swear I don't think I remember ever seeing one character laugh and this  is coming from a person who watches "Criminal Minds" every week.

 The 13th and final episode aired on October 17th

AMC RELEASES DOCUMENTARY FOR NEW SERIES "WALKING DEAD"

"Walking Dead" is the newest original drama from AMC.  The six episode series follows a group of survivors who survive after a zombie apocalypse.

The 90 minute series premieres ,Sunday, October 31. Subsequent episodes will be one-hour presentations.

I really think that I am going to pass on watching this program, its looks a little too disturbing for my taste, but I must admit it looks like AMC might have another hit on their hands.

AMC NEWEST ORIGINAL SERIES "RUBICON" TO PREMIERE SUNDAY,

AMC will debut its newest original series "Rubicon," starring James Badge Dale ("The Pacific"), with its first two episodes airing back-to-back, from 8PM-10PM (ET/PT), followed by "Mad Men" at 10 PM, July 25th.

Following its debut, "Rubicon" will move to its regular timeslot, airing Sundays at 9 PM (ET/PT).

AMC ANNOUNCES "THE PRISONER" MINI SERIES PREMIERE DATE

AMC will premiere its six-part mini-series "The Prisoner" on Sunday, November 15 from 8 - 10pm ET/PT, featuring the series' first two episodes back-to-back. A reinterpretation of the 1960s cult classic, "The Prisoner" will air over three consecutive nights, with two episodes each evening, from 8-10pm ET/PT.

Fans can watch all 17 episodes of the original 1960s "The Prisoner" in full screen on www.amctv.com. Each episode of AMC's mini-series will also be available On Demand the day following the linear premiere with select cable operators.

"The Prisoner" tells the story of a man, Six (Caviezel), who wakes up to find himself inexplicably trapped in a mysterious and surreal place, The Village, with no memory of how he arrived.
