Show Description:  Dr. Megan Hunt (Dana Delany) is a brilliant neurosurgeon whose world is turned upside down when an accident puts an end to her time in the operating room. In her new career as a Medical Examiner, she is determined to solve the puzzle of who or what has killed the victims. Along the way, Megan finds that their lives and the lessons they hold can be applied to her own personal journey of redemption and forgiveness.

JOANNA CASSIDY JOINS "BODY OF PROOF"

Joanna Cassidy has joined the cast of ABC's new fall drama "Body of Proof".

Cassidy will appear in the third episode and the mother of Dana's Delany's medical examiner, Dr. Megan Hunt.

"I get this weird chill when I write scenes for the two of them, it's a wonderful dynamic," creator Christopher Murphey told TV Guide Magazine. "I think Megan and her mother have a wonderful back story that we will be basically mining over the first few episodes. You're going to be finding out a lot about Megan."

Body of Proof premieres Friday, Sept. 24 at 9/8c on ABC.
