CRIMINAL MINDS WELCOMES BACK PAGET BREWSTER AND A.J. COOK, BUT BIDS FAREWELL TO RACHEL NICHOLS

Criminal Minds continues to play musical chairs with its cast.  The the successful CBS series has decided to welcome back Paget Brewster and A.J. Cook for season seven as series regulars.  Now this bit of casting news leaves recently promoted to series regular Rachel Nichols out of job.  BUMMER!!  Meanwhile co-star Thomas Gibson still doesn't have a deal, negotiations are ongoing, maybe if his negotiations go the way of Chris Meloni (Law & Oder: SVU), the series can invite Rachel Nichols back. 
 
At this point I don't really care, I have watched "Criminal Minds" from day one and continued to watch even after the very talented Mandy Patinkin left after season two. Six years of doom and gloom is enough, I found myself dreading to watch the series.  Also, I don't know if it is just me, but  the characters have become so depressing and  the cases are so much more violent. Its just not fun tuning in to watch every week.

LAURENCE FISHBURN EXITS 'CSI'

Oscar-nominated actor Laurence Fishburn has decided exit 'CSI' after 2 1/2 seasons , Deadline reports.  Fishburn was originally cast after the original and popular star William Petersen left the very successful series in 2008.  Fishburn will next be seen in Steven Soderbergh's thriller "Contagion"

CSI's other high-profile star, Marg Helgenberger, has decided to return next season for only a few episodes.

The popular series is moving to Wednesday 10pm this fall, after10 1/2 seasons as CBS Thursday anchor. 

"THE MENTALIST" SEASON FINALE WAS AWESOME

“The Mentalist” season finale was completely awesome.  OK I know it aired a couple of nights ago, but I just got around to watching the episode today.  Now in all honesty I was two steps away from not returning for the 4^th season.  Why? I started to feel like it was a drain to watch the show week after week; the cases weren’t as entertaining and started to become a little predictable (“Castle” any one).  But, tonights  2hour episode was a complete game changer and it had me on the edge of my seat up until the final reveal and demise of Red John, well done Bradley Whitford. 

I don’t know if a lot of people were surprised that Patrick Jane shot and killed Red John in cold blood, but I wasn’t.  From day one he has said “I will kill Red John “and boy did he keep his word.  Creator Bruno Heller told TV Guide "We won't dodge any issues. Patrick won't wake up and discover it was all a dream. There will be consequences."

I am now so excited for next season, because I think the series really needed a game changer like this to shake up the series.  By the way I am not really sure that Jane killed the real Red John.  Once again great finale.

JUSTIN BIEBER TO GUEST STAR IN "CSI" SERIES PREMIERE

In his acting debut, multi-platinum singing sensation Justin Bieber will guest star in the season premiere of the CBS Television Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television series, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, on the CBS Television Network.

Bieber will play Jason McCann, a troubled teen who is faced with a terrible decision regarding his only brother a decision that leads him into an explosive confrontation with the CSIs. It is the beginning of an emotional story that will conclude later in the season.

EDDIE CIBRIAN SIGNS ON FOR MULIT-EPISODE ARC ON NBC'S "CHASE"

Eddie Cibrian has landed a multi-episode arc on NBC's new drama "Chase"   The series follows a group of U.S. Marshals, Cibrian will play a bounty hunter for at least two episodes. The arc is scheduled to begin in October, according to Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the news.

Cibrian loss his previous gig on the CBS drama "CSI: Miami" in June after series regular Adam Rodriguez decided to return full-time.

"Chase" premieres Monday, Sept. 20 at 10/9c.

CBS CANCELS "THE BRIDGE"

I have some good news and bad news for fans of the CBS drama "The Bridge"

Bad News


CBS has decided to pull the Saturday night drama after just three episodes.  There is no word on rather CBS will air the 10 remaining episodes at a later date.

Good News


Although the show has been cancelled in the US, it will continue to air in Canada. CTV begin airing the series back in March and completed the season in May.  "The Bridge" was successful enough to garner a second season for Canadian viewers.

What does all this mean?  Since it is highly unlikely that another network would pickup the low rated series, it doesn't look like  US viewers  will see the rest of this season or the second season.

SELA WARD JOINS THE CAST OF "CSI: NY"

Sela Ward joins the cast of CSI: NY as an experienced investigator from Washington, D.C., whose work is driven by her empathy for the victim. Ward is stepping in after the surprise exit of Melina Kanakaredes.

 "I am thrilled to be working with Gary and this terrific group of people," the Emmy-winning actress says. "I'm a huge fan."

Ward will make her first appearance in the season premiere when the show moves to Fridays at 9:00 PM this fall.

It s the fourth week in the "Big Brother 12" house and Rachel has won her second Head of Household and once again her nominations are solely based  on her over the top erratic emotions.

Don't keep reading if you don't want to be spoiled.

Rachel nominated Hayden and Kristen for eviction, which is not surprising, considering how she and Kristen have been going at it since Thursday night's eviction of Andrew and the HOH competition.The arguments between the three started before the live show could even go off the air.

The house was sent into a major uproar following Andrew’s outing of the secret showmance between Hayden and Kristen.. However, the two continued to lie, denying a showmance and denying any kissing going on between them.


I am so over the Big Brother 12 showmances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Britney won the POV yesterday and of course Kristen is trying to convince her to use the POV on her, so that Kathy can go up in her place. Britney seems open to the idea but hasn’t decided yet. I really think it will be a big mistake if he decides to use it on either nominee, but why listen to me I predicted the demise of "The Brigade" by week 2 and their still going strong.

Just finished watcing  last nights episode of "Big Brother 12" and it is looking like we might again have some goof balls playing the game this season. It has not even been a week and houseguest are already committing to alliances and throwing around the word trust.  GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!  Have you ever seen an episode of this show, that is always a mistake.

The Saboteur revealed  to the house that  two of  their  housemates are lifelong friends and already had an alliance before entering the Big Brother house.  No word yet on who the two HGs are.

Before the premiere I listed the top 5 Dos and Don'ts  of winning the game or at least making it to the final three. 

Of course rules were broken tonight and Brendon and Rachel are on the block because of a looming showmance. Once again people SHOWMANCE equals target. 

Also readers if you believe the almost laughable "Brigade" alliance has a chance in hell of surviving, think again. Enzo's arrogance will be his and their downfall.
