COMEDY CENTRAL TO ROAST DAVID HASSELHOFF SUNDAY, AUGUST 15

David Hasselhoff will be Comedy Central's next celebrity roast target.Emmy-nominated "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane will head up an all-star lineup of Roasters who will Pamela Anderson, Whitney Cummings, Greg Giraldo, George Hamilton, Hulk Hogan, Lisa Lampanelli, Jeffrey Ross and Jerry Springer. Additional Roasters and talent will be in attendance.
"I'm honored that Comedy Central is going to get 'Hoff' on me," the tv star said. "I have always been a major fan of roasts, dating back to the days of the Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts. Laughter is the best medicine. Bring it on! I'm ready to take the heat."
The Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff will air Sunday, Aug. 15 at 10/9c.
Hasselhoff is currently working on a new reality show for A / E scheduled to debut in the fall.

SNEAK PEEK: FUTURAMA NEW EPISODE

"Futurarama" was cancelled by Fox more than seven years ago, but due to its popularity in syndication , four made for DVD movies, that were eventually made into a new season of shows and successful DVD sales Fox announced in June, that the show would be returning as a regualr series.
After a few contract issues with the original voice cast, the new episodes are finally ready to air. The first of the 26 episodes is set to premiere on Comedy Central on June 24th.

COMEDY CENTRAL CANCELS "THE SARAH SILVERMAN SHOW"

Comedy Central has cancelled "The Sarah Silverman Show" after three season on the air.
I must admit I was never a fan of this show, after watching four or five episodes from season one I bailed and never returned. The show just wasn't funny or entertaining to watch and I say this as a fan of Sarah Silverman.
The sitcom debuted in February 2007 as one of Comedy Central's biggest premieres to date and garnered itself a season two renewal. After season two ended there was some behind the scenes drama when when executive producers Sarah Silverman, Dan Sterling, and Rob Schrab threatened to quit after the network asked them to cut the TV show budget . A deal was eventually cut with MTV's Logo channel to rerun the episodes and a third season was announced.
However, it took a year for the series to return and the ratings suffered, which prompted the network to move the show from its 10:30pm to midnight. This move I am sure marked the beginning of the end of the show.

COMEDY CENTRAL RENEWS "TOSH.0" FOR A THIRD SEASON

Daniel Tosh takes his acerbically twisted comedy and his love-hate relationship with the Web to the next level as COMEDY CENTRAL orders a third season of the weekly hit series "Tosh.0," it was announced today by Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production COMEDY CENTRAL. The third season of "Tosh.0" will consist of at least 29 episodes and premiere on Wednesday, January 12 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.
"Tosh.0" is currently in its second season which consists of 25 episodes (nine aired from January 13 through March 10, 2010) with new episodes returning on Wednesday, June 2 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT

"tHE GOODE FAMILY" TO AIR ON COMEDY CENTRAL

"The Goode Family," the satirical animated series from Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, will air on COMEDY CENTRAL beginning January 4, 2010 in a secondary run. "The Goode Family," which premiered on ABC in May 2009, is produced by Media Rights Capital, Ternion Pictures and 3 Arts Entertainment.
The complete first season of "The Goode Family" will air on COMEDY CENTRAL on Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, giving vegans, lesbians, right-wing conservatives, Prius owners, Texas-rednecks and liberals-who-canlaugh-at-themselves a second chance to fall in love with the Goodes.
"Mike, John and Dave certainly turn the tables on liberals with this show. That's not done very often on television, but the humor comes from skewering extremism and taking things too far, either to the left or the right," said Modi Wiczyk, Co-CEO of MRC. "We know COMEDY CENTRAL viewers will embrace 'The Goode Family.'"
Meet Gerald and Helen Goode, a couple who live by the motto WWAGD (What Would Al Gore Do?). Gerald, a college administrator, and Helen, a community activist, are determined to obliterate their carbon footprint on the planet: they're zealous vegans, drive a hybrid and recycle everything possible. Even the family dog, Che, is vegan. In the words of Helen, all the Goodes want to do is buy organic apples and call minorities by their right names. But despite their best efforts, something always goes haywire with their politically correct plans.
"The Goode Family" is voiced by Mike Judge as Gerald, Nancy Carell as Helen, Dave Herman as Ubuntu, Linda Cardellini as Bliss and Brian Doyle Murray as Charlie.

"SOUTH PARK " RETURNS FOR 13TH SEASON
