'V" RENEWED FOR A SECOND SEASON

ABC has renewed V for a 13-episode second season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Fall 2010 TV Scorecard: Which shows are returning? Which aren't?

Starring Elizabeth Mitchell, the sci-fi show was one of the most-watched series premieres of the 2009-10 TV season when it debuted to 14.3 million viewers in November. V, based on the 1984 miniseries of the same name, will wrap its first season Tuesday.

Besides V, ABC has renewed Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice for full seasons.

ABC cancels Scrubs, FlashForward, Romantically Challenged and Better Off Ted

ABC will announce its fall schedule Tuesday as well.

"V" returns tonight and for the fans who do continue to watch the show, there will be three new characters added for you. Nicholas Lea, who played bad guy Krycek on 'The X-Files,' has been added as Erica's (Elizabeth Mitchell's) ex-husband. Lexa Doig (remember 'Andromeda?' I loved the first season of that show) will play a doctor who is treating Valerie. And Charles Mesure ('Crossing Jordan,' 'Xena') will play a military guy who helps the Resistance.

A SNEAK PEEK AT ABC'S "V"

I really enjoyed the original "V"and I am looking forward to seeing this new version. I can see from the clip some of my favorite tv actors are in the cast, Elizabeth Mitchell(Lost), Scott Wolf(The Nine), and Joel Gretsch(The 4400).

To be very honest the preview clip does'nt look very interesting, but I will be tuning in on Tuesday, November 3 for what I hope to be a very exciting and entertaining premiere.
