Melinda Clarke joins "The Vampire Diaries" for at least three episode starting March 25.
The actress will play Matt's absentee, alcoholic mother Kelly Donovan who blows into town and instantly makes a move on Damon(Ian Somerhalder).
So Vampire Diaries fans get ready for some cougar action.
