MISS TV GIRL'S RULES FOR WINNING "BIG BROTHER 14"

BB14 cast with 4 mystery mentors

Released by Miss TV Girl

My one and only favorite reality television series "Big Brother" returns Thursday July 12 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), Following the premiere, "BIG BROTHER" will be broadcast three nights weekly, beginning Sunday, July 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Wednesday, July 18 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and the LIVE eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, beginning Thursday, July 19 (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).

Like previous years, I will continue to give spoilers and updates about the events inside the house throughout the season.

I am really really hoping for some smart players instead of emotional players this year.  Now don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with going inside the Big Brother house and making friends and alliances, but you can not forget that you are in the"Big Brother" house to play a game and win a lot of money and so are your fellow housemates.  So don't be surprised if someone lies to you.

I still believe that for anyone entering the house watching the Will and Dan seasons are a must. Now the two of of them played very risky and dangerous games, but at the same time they were never careless and dumb. Do we all remember Ronnie from "Big Brother 11" ? Dumb!

So here are my rules for how to win "Big Brother 12"

1.Watch the Will and Dan seasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. Don't fall  in love with a fellow houseguest, you instantly become a target because the house knows that you two will protect each other

3. Don't take anything personally, when you do, your game becomes emotional and you lose

4.TRUST NO ONE, remember you do not know these people and they are there to win, so always follow your gut.

5. Head of Household vote to evict your target, not the target of the house.

If the players  follow the five above rules, I can promise you a place in the Finale 3.

Now, if you end up in a house like "Big Brother 11, consider yourself very very lucky because theses rules do not apply. Why? Because everything will be based on luck . Let's not forget Jordan won the game.

"Big Brother" follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, the Houseguests vote someone out of the house. At the end, the last remaining Houseguests receives the grand prize of $500,000.

RIP: ANDY GRIFFITH

Released by Miss TV Girl

The wonderfully talent Andy Griffith, the beloved Sheriff Andy Taylor of TV’s iconic “The Andy Griffith Show” and dramatic defense attorney Matlock passed away this morning. He was 86

He will truly be missed by those of us who he made laugh and cry time after time with memorable roles on the “Andy Griffith Show” and "Matlock".

“The Andy Griffith Show” was way before my time, but there was always something about the show and characters that resonated and made me long for a time that had long passed with no chance of returning. I think growing up in Atlanta and spending my summers in Dudley, Georgia, with my grandparents, which was not that different from Mayberry helped me to appreciate the quiet and simple life that the show put on full display week after week.

Andy Griffith you will be missed, but never forgotten. Rest in Peace and say hello to Don Knotts for me.

SNEAK PEEK: BURN NOTICE

Released by Miss TV Girl

Boy did I need the Kleenex after watching this clip of Michael falling apart during his reunion with Fiona  from Thursday's episode of "Burn Notice.  I have really enjoyed the past two episodes, which have been less fast-paced action and explosion and more heart and emotion.

At the end of the last season, we saw Fiona turn herself in to the authorities in the wake of a bombing meant to take out o their mutual enemy Larry(Tim Matheson). But, unaware that Michael's seriously deranged and dangerous nemesis Anson(Jere Burns) had planted extra explosives,  that not only killed Larry but two innocent security officers.

To say the least Michal is not taking Fiona's incarceration very well.as you can see in the above clip.

"SUITS" SEASON 2 PREMIERE: THE SECRET IS OUT

 Released by Miss TV Girl

Last night we saw the return of Suits and boy did it not disappoint.  When you look back at Season 1 the biggest question the show had you asking was how long could Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Harvey (Gabriel Macht) keep their secret from Jessica (Gina Torres), now I must admit I had no idea we would get the answer so soon in the series run. Suits opened its second season with a dinner date between Jessica and Mike, and the cat and mouse game of does she or doesn’t she know began.  Harvey tried to reassure a beyond paranoid Mike that the dinner invite was actually an honor.  All of the most successful Pearson Hardman partners got the same treatment as first years.  To be honest, Harvey had me convinced, I was swearing at the television about how the previews were so misleading, but boy was Harvey and I wrong.

Harvey may have calmed Mike’s nerves, but he knows Jessica well enough to know when she is up to something.  So, when she returns from dinner with Mike, Harvey is waiting with questions. Jessica’s reveal was awesome, just as Harvey is feeling all confident and reassured that she doesn’t know anything, she stops him dead in his tracks and in her words “He may have checked out clean, but I know that kid is full shit, because there may be a record of him graduating from Harvard law, but there is no record of him graduating from any college anywhere on the face of earth” BAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, Harvey is told to fire Mike, which we all know won’t and didn’t happen.  I love how Harvey can’t admit to himself that he really cares about Mike.

By the way Trevor the so-called best friend, who outed Mike to Jessica, is a despicable human being.  Now, don’t get me wrong, Mike dating Jenny and lying about it was pretty lame, but I feel that Trevor owed it him after all of the times Mike literally saved his ass to hear his side of the story.

Suits looks like it is a off to a great start with this season 2 opener and I can’t wait see what Suits has in store for the rest of the season..

"PRETTY LITTLE LIARS": JENNA WE CAN SEE YOU

 Released by Miss TV Girl

Last week we saw the return of Pretty Little Liars after a wonderful finale that saw the death of Emily’s girlfriend Maya and revelation of Mona as A.

This week’s episode we saw Emily having yet again another breakdown, now don't get me wrong I totally understand being upset about Mya’s death, but boy has she been extra annoying these past two episodes. Anyway, Emily notices a necklace in her bag that says “Dead Girls Can’t Smile” and is adorned with teeth and the everyday insanity that is their lives starts. A debate about what to do with the necklace lands it in the toilet. How can four girls fit into one non-handicap stall? Amazing!!!!  As you probably have guessed due to a highly sensitive toilet sensor the necklace is flushed after the ringing of the school bell.

I have to ask myself after the first 10 min. of the episode why am I still watching “Pretty Little Liars” ?  My answer, because it is a guilty pleasure and when it is good, which is about 85% of the times it is really good.  Now back to the episode.  Soon afterwards we see the not so blind Jenna who gives Aria the best line of the night “Is it me or is she blinder than she was last year”.  This leads to the girls going back and forth about rather Jenna is faking it or not.  And as you probably have guessed the girls set a trap for Jenna and of course she takes the bait and now they know her secret.  This reveal gives  Aria the 2nd best line of the night after the girls argue about outing Jenna  “Don't look at me I'm ready to hang a sign Bitch can see”.

I know it's early in the season and my complaints and disappointments may be a little premature, but I kind of feel like I am watching the first season again. Now don't get me wrong I did not think for a moment that we were finish with A , but the nonstop text messaging  from the 1st season has started again and it is enough to make me want to run for the hills. I understand this is A way of showing how she sees all and is everywhere, but I prefer the intimidation by action more so than text messaging.

THE BACHELORETTE RECAP

Released by Lisa Conn

Southern belle no more …Bachelorette Emily went West Virginia on his ass!

Emily Maynard finally fully sheds her too perfect image and gets real. I have enjoyed Emily on her season of the Bachelorette much more than when she was one of the girls vying for Brad Womak’s affection on The Bachelor. She was the girl every girl loves to hate on The Bachelor but on her season as The Bachelorette she has stopped being portrayed as little miss perfect and started being real/down-to-earth and actually seems like a cool chick I would want to be friends with. Last night, after telling Kalon she “loved to hear him talk” but to let her finish first, she told him to “get the f*#& out!” after he unapologetically referred to her daughter as “baggage.” I suppose that truth be told, Emily does have some baggage (don’t we all) but she took umbrage with his implication that her daughter was a burden rather than a blessing. Obviously, Kalon was not interested in finding love with Emily and welcoming her and her daughter into his life with open arms. As such, Emily kicked him to the proverbial curb. It was greatly satisfying and a nice change from the last Bachelorette where we all were forced to painfully watch Ashley get made a fool of by Bentley (a name only suitable for a canine). I am sure we have not seen the last of Kalon on reality TV and I hope his butt sees the couch of a shrink as he clearly has some “issues.”

Kalon is not the only wanker among Emily’s suiters. I can hardly stomach looking at Ryan’s face anymore and having to watch Emily kiss him during the Shakespeare play put on during her group date made me gag. I am not sure why the producers of the show feel like they need to do things like offer a lesson in drinking tea or putting on a play. No one watches the show for that kind of crap. We watch the show to see if perhaps there might be love a-brewing. Frankly, I don’t see her settling down with any of these guys.

Last night she had individual dates with Sean and Jef and went on a group date with Ryan, Alejandro, Doug, Chris, Arie, Travis, John (who is this guy, he is never on air) and Kalon. In their individual date, Sean and Emily seemed to have a nice time and Emily really seems smitten by him. There must be more to him than what has been shown so far because I don’t see what she sees. He strikes me as boring and he is self-admittedly picky about women having been on very few dates in the past due to his high standards. He also mentions his faith often. Emily, I smell a judgmental jerk who will probably make you feel bad about yourself. Run. What I have noticed is that Emily seems to want someone who is VERY good looking but also real, sweet, a good provider, a great dad, funny, etc.etc. Someone needs to clue her in that almost never does someone who is exceptionally good looking ever develop the rest of the qualities she wants because they are never forced to.

Next was the group date where the whole “baggage” situation occurred. Other than that, the group date was a snore. Her individual date with Jef. I actually like Jef. He seems genuine and kind. But did any else notice that after his first kiss with Emily she patted him on the shoulder several times. It was not a typical reaction and it makes me think that she sees him as a little brother. I think she probably won’t choose Jef in the end.

During the drinks portion of the Rose Ceremony, Ryan wanted to show Emily that what they have is deep so he gave her a turquoise necklace. Huh? Again, he is just a wanker. I was hoping she would send him home so I don’t have to look at him next week. Emily scolded a few of the guys for not sticking up for her during the whole Kalon situation then ended the night by sending Alejandro the mushroom farmer on his way. Hopefully, she ditches Ryan, Travis, and John next and in that order.

Next week Emily and the fellas go to Croatia. I don’t know much about Croatia so I am excited to learn a little and see what happens in the land of fake TV love.

"SISTER WIVES SEASON 3 EPISODE 8 RECAP

By Lisa Conn

Sister Wives is still my guilty pleasure despite the fact that it has gotten a little boring lately (especially since Christine stopped being jealous of Robyn and is no longer scorned that she is no longer Kody’s favorite wife). Nevertheless, I am still hooked.

Last night Logan, Mariah, Madison, and Hunter travelled back to Utah on their Spring Break to visit family and friends. During a picnic in chilly weather, Logan scolded his siblings who were complaining about the temperature and told them to, “Man the f*%# up.” I myself am a little loose with this word and so this made me giggle a little. Christine was horrified that Logan used such a vulgar word (Really? Your “husband” sleeps with 3 other women and you’re bothered by a teenager dropping one little f-bomb? Can you say “big picture”?) but Janelle won the coolest polygamist award because she says she will ignore his foul language. This coupled with Janelle’s statement last week that she would gladly accept one of her children if they happen to be homosexual has launched Janelle from my least favorite sister wife to a neck-and-neck race with Meri for top lady.

Later during the family business meeting, Robyn shows off her jewelry designs for their new business “My Sister Wives’ Closet.” Her jewelry designs mostly center around playing with ways to meld together the S and W in sister wives. If she wants to make this necklace as a gift then I think that would be a fine idea, but this as an idea for a business to sell to the general public…? I’m not sure anyone else is going to endorse polygamy by wearing her SW creations? I look forward to next Sunday to see what kind of shenanigans those crazy Brown polygs pull.

SNEAK PEEK: GREY'S ANATOMY SEASON FINALE

 By Miss TV Girl

I don't know about you, but I think after watching this episode I will probably need a sedative.  ABC has decided to release the first 6 minutes of the Season 8 "Grey's Anatomy" finale (airings Thursday, May 17) which will leave a main character dead.
"It's a big death and it's fairly shocking," Rhimes told THR. "It was hard, it was hard to write, it was hard to listen to at the table read. It is a difficult thing to do and not done lightly. When one of your main characters dies, it always affects the heart and soul of the hospital."

So out of the six doctors who crash-landed somewhere in the woods on their way to Boise, who do you think will say goodbye to Seattle Grace forever.  I am going with Arizona if its one of the six, now don't be surprise if its someone not on the plane(hint: April).

USA NETWORK INVITES "BURN NOTICE" FANS TO VOTE ON THE NEW MAIN TITLE SEQUENCES FOR SEASON SIX

USA Press Release

Once again USA is putting the fate of its opening title sequence into the hands of its devoted fanbase. Recognizing how much Burn Notice has evolved over the last seven years, USA Network and the show’s creator Matt Nix realized the opening title sequence was due for an update. USA will enable fans to view and vote for one of two new opening titles online and on Facebook, and then make their case for their choice using #BNFanVote on its social conversation aggregator, USA Character Chatter. The winning treatment will be revealed as Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) embarks on a mission to save Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) from federal custody as the sixth season of Burn Notice starts on Thursday, June 14 at 9/8c.

“As fans are our most important stakeholders, we love when we can actively engage them in our creative process,” said Alexandra Shapiro, USA’s executive vice president, brand marketing and digital. “Integral to our ongoing social strategy is the ability to not only listen, but hear what our fans are saying -- their preferences are increasingly informing how we develop, program and go to market.”

By going to www.BurnNoticeFanVote.com or the Burn Notice Facebook page, http://facebook.com/burnnotice, fans can view video of both sequences and register their vote starting Wednesday, May 9, through Wednesday, May 23 at noon ET.  They can also share their preferences through USA Character Chatter (www.characterchatter.com <http://www.characterchatter.com> ), which harnesses and amplifies the social buzz around the series by funneling in real-time a feed of text, images, and video from all social streams including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube. The network will drive fans to vote via on-air snipes, as well as information on the Burn Notice website, and call-outs on social outlets including Facebook and Twitter.

“I’m thrilled to share the creative process with our fans, who have been an integral part of Burn Notice – from our comic book to their interaction with the show talent on Character Chatter,” said series creator and executive producer Matt Nix. “I look forward to connecting with them as we decide between the new main title sequences, one reflecting the current style and the other taking an entirely new approach. It's a very exciting start to an action-packed sixth season.”

OWN CANCELS "THE ROSIE SHOW"

Released by Miss

The OWN network has decided to cancel the "The Rosie Show" after just five months.  To be very honest I actually  enjoyed show and never missed an episode, and this coming from someone who had never watched anything with Rosie, besides a couple of episodes of the "The View".  I  thought the new format of the one on one interview was so much better than the original format with the audience participation, the band, the games and anything else the producers could fit into an already packed hour.

I hope to see Rosie O'Donnell  real soon, because she now has a new fan in Miss TV Girl.

The last episode will tape on Tuesday, March 20th and air Friday, March 30th.

Here's the press release with all of the details:

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today "The Rosie Show," the daily talk show hosted by Emmy Award-winning actress and comedian Rosie O'Donnell, will tape its final show on Tuesday, March 20, and the final episode will air on Friday, March 30 (7-8 p.m. ET/PT).

"I thank Rosie from the bottom of my heart for joining me on this journey. She has been an incredible partner, working to deliver the best possible show every single day," said Oprah Winfrey. "As I have learned in the last 15 months, a new network launch is always a challenge and ratings grow over time as you continue to gather an audience. I'm grateful to Rosie and the dedicated Rosie Show team for giving it their all."

"I loved working with Oprah in the amazing city of Chicago," said Rosie O'Donnell. "I was welcomed with open arms and will never forget the kindness of all I encountered. It was a great year for me - I wish the show was able to attract more viewers - but it did not. So I am headed back to my home in New York - with gratitude. On we go!"

PARENTHOOD CAST ROCKS OUT IN SUPER CUTE LANDON PIGG VIDEO

 Release by Miss TV Girl

"Parenthood" aired its season finale last week, and I am already missing my Braverman clan and with the uncertainty of this magnificent series being renewed  for a fourth season my withdrawal is borderline unbearable.  "Parenthood" debuted back in March of 2009 as a mid-season replacement series and I was hooked from day one.  To be honest, shows like this is reason why I love television, its also the reason why I  am so disappointed with television.  Its like I get so excited and invested when a series like this one comes along, to only have it pulled from the schedule or moved around so much the avid fan can barely find it from week to week. I can't for the life of me understand why a show like "Parenthood"  with such a superb writing staff and cast that knocks it out of the box every week has struggled  almost from day to find an audience.

When you look at the ratings success of the drama filled over the top reality shows on Bravo and MTV(you know who you are) become hits and shows like Parenthood struggle its very disheartening and says a lot about where we are as a viewing audience.I think its a shame when NeNe Leakes and Camille Grammer are household names and Monica Potter  and Mae Whitman are borderline anonymous.

OK, enough with my complaining, now lets get back to why I originally started to write this blog.  I found this wonderful Landon Pigg video on line featuring the wonderful cast of "Parenthood" minus Monica Potter and Joy Bryant.  Its like the universe heard my cries and sent me this little gem, I hope the universe hears my cries and pleas again  and renews my favorite series for a fourth season.

SNEAK PEEK: RICKY MARTIN PERFORMS "SEXY AND I KNOW IT"

For those of you who are still watching "Glee" check out the below clip of Ricky Martin's performance of  LMFAO's"Sexy and I Know It".  I am no longer watching "Glee", I decided to bail after the 4th episode this season, and I haven't thought twice are regretted that decision one bit.  A sticking point for me was the constant recycling of storylines and  the inability to highlight any type of growth of self awareness in regards to any of the characters other than Kurt.

I was actually excited when the rumors started up about Rachel, Kurt, Finn and possibly more of the Glee club originals graduating and exiting the series, I thought that would allow a much needed reboot, especially with the whole new slew of writers, but that hope was soon crushed and we were back to the same, quite frankly borefest.

However, I will return for the awesomely handsome and talented Jonathan Groff and who knows maybe I will be surprised and return to McKinley High.

So for those of you still committed to the "Glee" experience enjoy the clip and watch the episode Tuesday, 2/7
