"SUPERNATURAL" 100TH EPISODE WILL BE HEAVY ON MYTHOLOGY

Released by Michael Ausiello/EW

Time flies when you’re battling demons and preventing apocalypses and stuff. Case in point: Supernatural will celebrate its milestone 100th episode this spring with an hour that focuses largely on Dean (Jensen Ackles).

“We’re aiming for it to be a big mythology episode,” reveals Supernatural boss Eric Kripke, adding that, “The Archangel Michael plays a very large part as we explore his relationship with Dean.”

But what form will Arch Mike take?

"SUPERNATURAL" : JENSEN ACKLES LIP SYNCS "EYE OF THE TIGER"

Here is a great video I found on youtube with scenes from last season's "Supernatural" episode "Yellow Fever". The best part of the video is the bonus footage of Jensen Ackles as he lip-syncs to "Eye of the Tiger".

Why post this?

Just because I love "Supernatural" and those Winchester brothers.

Enjoy!!!!

"SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" DIGITAL SHORT: TWO WORLDS COLLIDE FT. REBA McENTIRE

I just saw this clip from last night's episode of "Saturday Night Live" and thought that it was hilarious.I must admit that I am not a fan of the show, but I do enjoy the Adam Samberg musical shorts.

I could try and explain the video, but I think there is no true explanation.

All I will say is that Adam Samberg really loves "Reba McEntire".

ABC FIRES "ALL MY CHILDREN" HEAD WRITER

Released by Miss TV Girl

Within a few weeks, All My Children will be turning over a new leaf, officially making the move west to new studios in Los Angeles. Most actors are making the move. Some are not. And today ABC informed the head writer, Charles Pratt Jr., that he's been let go. If he had his suitcases packed, well, sorry about that.

Chuck Pratt was hired with some fanfare in June 2008. He was a big hire because his resume is filled with flashy successes, including Desperate Housewives, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, Ugly Betty, Santa Barbara and General Hospital, among others. Pratt was supposed to revive All My Children to its former luster, but -- alas -- it hasn't happened.

It's hard to say exactly what went wrong, but some of Pratt's seminal changes in the show have not been greeted with fan support. It was Pratt's decision to kill off Adam's sweet twin brother Stuart, a character that defined the word beloved when you're talking about Pine Valley characters. The reveal took months to unfold and it's been pretty torturous.

Fans on the message boards are thrilled with the news of Pratt's exit. They've been ticked off with his storylines and, apparently, the idea of a new writer guiding the new West Coast AMC is a popular one. Who that new head writer is, however, has

SNEAK PEEK AT THE "CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM" SEASON FINALE

Released by Miss TV Girl

"Curb Yor Enthusiasm" wraps up its season this Sunday with an episode that also brings the shows's current "Seinfeld" arc to an end.

Seeing the four actors together plus after so many years has been a complete joy. I am really looking forward to the finale which HBO is promising "Finally... a funny finale. Which directly points out how most people were really diappointed by the real "Seinfeld" finale and plays off something that's been going on with "Curb" where everyone but Larry David acknowledges that the finale was a not good.

So Sunday night I will be tuning in to see if Larry's usual reunion cause this so-called reunion to crash and burn.

This by far has been one of "Curbs" best if not most outrageous and borderline offensive seasons ever. I sure hope Larry Daivd does'nt wait another 3+ years to return for a another season.

Above is a sneak peek clip from Sunday night season finale.

REVIEW: HEROES "BROTHER'S KEEPER" (SPOILERS INCLUDED)

Released by Miss TV Girl

Spoilers: Spoiler Line: Do Not Cross

Tonight's episode of Heroes was the best of the season.  A lot was accomplished in "Brother's Keeper", Sylar got his body (if not his memories) back; Nathan found his real (dead) body; Peter learned the truth about Nathan/Sylar, Tracy and Claire bonded, and  Hiro helped saved a seemingly ungreatful Suresh.

As a fan and sometimes harch critic of "Heroes" I was so glad to see so many of the original heroes together again in one episode.

I really enjoyed the bonding scenes between Claire and Tracy, who would have ever seen that coming. I think that Claire did give Tracy some bad advice by encouraging her to seek out Samuel.  Did Claire forget that her dream of having a normal college life was pretty much brought to a halt by Samuel and his "niece".

I wasn't really happy to see the retunn of Suresh, he is my least favorite character and by far the most annoying.  He always figures out a way to make things worse(tipping Samuel off that he had greater powers). I was also disappointed, but not surprised by his normally self -rightous behaviour  when he refused to help Hiro save Charlie.  I kid you not I practically did a happy dance when Hiro sent him to a mental asylum.  Hopfully he will stay there for the whole eight weeks.

It was also interesting to learn that Samuel endgame is to  gather all of the superpowered heroes, so that he can make himself 10,000 times more powerful. Let us not forget this is a man who can crumble buildings with the twist of a wrist. I still believe that there is so much more to learn about Samuel and his intentions.

Now for the best part of tonight's episode.  The big reveal to Nathan and Peter that Sylar is alive and kicking. I am so glad that "Heroes" did not drag out the whole Nathan/Sylar secret.  The scenes in the hospital room with Nathan,Peter, Sylar, and Parkman were great.

Zachary Quinto has truly embodied the character of Sylar.  I am truly shocked that he has not gotten an Emmy nomination for his brilliant portrayal of Sylar .

I though that Adrian Pasdar was really strong in this episode.  Now I guess the real question is, how long will it take for the real Sylar to break through the Nathan facade and how will Peter handle the lost of his  beloved brother.

side note:  Very surprising to see Nathan's body sitting in a storage room. Does that mean that my Nathan may have a chance of  re-entering his own body, dare I dream.

Check out the below clip for a glimpse of  the big reveal.

KATE VERNON TO JOIN THE ALREADY CROWDED "HEROES" CAST

Released by Miss TV Girl

Kate Vernon, who played Ellen Tigh on the "Battlestar Galactica" remake, is joining the already crowded  "Heroes" cast

No word on what role Vernon will play or how long she'll be on the show. Honestly, I really think the problem with this show is its inability to say no to more characters/heroes.

This is a show that does not even know what to do with the characters that they already have and yet and still the writers/producers feel the the need to expand on an already crowded cast of characters.

If you look back on when "Heroes" first started to experience a decline in viewership it was when the show began to introduce so many new heroes that the original heroes and their storyline were almost completely neglected.

Now don't get me wrong I am still watching "Heroes" every week and  to be quite honest enjoying my myself.  I just wish the writers would respect the wishes of most fans and get back to telling the stories of the original cast of heroes.

How can they expect the viewers to become vested in what happens with  theses new heroes when practically nothing has been resolved and/or developed with the original heroes since the first season?

Heroes is still a very good and entertaining show, I just sometimes feel like the writers hit theses road blocks called characters and the only way to get  around them is to introduce a new one.

I  honestly don't  know how I went from informing the fans of a new cast member to criticizing the show, maybe I am still upset about the whole Adrian Pasdar being let go thing.

"DAYS OF OUR LIVES" :DAY OF DAYS EVENT COVERAGE

Released by Miss TV Girl

This week Miss Tv Girl was invited to be a part of a special online-media only event on the set of NBC's Days of our Lives.

During my set visit we were treated to lunch and a preview of Friday and Monday "Days" episode. There was also an opportunity to watch the actors film upcoming episodes on a live feed. I am unable to share what we saw, but it was very interesting watching the actors run their lines and do take after take.

Soon it was time to interview the cast, my first interview was with the charming Eric Martsolf(Brady Black), who discussed how he would prefer for his character to have more of backbone. He was soon followed by the tall and handsome Casey Deidrick(Chad Woods). My other interviews were with Taylor Spreitler(Mia),Molly Burnett(Melanie Layton) she is quite the little spitfire, great personality, Wally Kurth(Justin Kiriakis), whom I found to be quite charming and very likable, asked that I let my readers know about his upcoming cd (Kurth & Taylor Greatest Hits 1993-2010) release on December 1st . My last three interviews were with Lindsay Hartley(Arianna Hernandez),Shelly Hennig(Stephanie Johnson) and Mark Hapka(Nathan Horton).

The cast was so kind and generous with their time.

Casey and Molly gave us all a tour of the "Days" set, which was nice to see up close. Casey and Molly date in real life and seem to be the cutest and most in love couple ever. It is really darling to see the two together.

We all then took pictures and received a little "Days of our Lives" swag in the way of an apron from the "Brady 's Pub".

Day 2 was pretty much of the same, hours upon hours of interviewing. Once again the cast was more than friendly and open. There were so many fans out to show their love and appreciation for the show and the actors.

Miss TV Girl would like to thank NBC Universal and Days of Our Lives for allowing me the chance to participate in such a wonderful 2 day event to. I would like to also thank all of the actors for being so kind and available with their time.

I hope to see you "Days Of Our Lives" fans next year.

Photos from this wonderful and fun event can be found in  the " Miss TV Girl" sidebar.

BLAIR UNDERWOOD RETURNS TO "OLD ChRISTINE"

Released by Miss TV Girl

I  am happy to report the return of Blair Underwood to "The New Adventures of Old Christine"
according to Michael Ausiello at EW.

Underwood has signed on to reprise his role as Christine's former boyfriend, Daniel Harris for one episode.  This is such great news.  I was really disappointed when Underwood left the show for the now cancelled "Dirty Sexy Money".

Maybe this one episode can turn into a recurring role once again.

Underwood’s comeback is slated to air in January.

JAMES FRANCO TO GUEST-STAR ON 30 ROCK

Released by Miss TV Girl

James Franco will appear on "30 Rock" after he checks into my favorite soap "General Hospital" later this month, according to Entertainment Weekly.  I am so excited to see exactly what GH has in store for his mystery role.  I just pray he has lots of scenes with Steve Burton(Jason Morgan).  Jonathan Jackson(Lucky Spencer) has already confirmed that the two wll have scenes together.

Sorry this post is suppose to be about Franco's stint on  "30 Rock".

The award winning acotr will play himself and will carry on a fake romance with attention-starved "Girlie Show" star Jenna(Jane Krakowski), a scheme concocted by their respective agent.

I guess James Franco is truly making the acting rounds.  What's next? A reality show.

ADRIAN PASDAR IS LEAVING "HEROES"

Released by Miss TV Girl

I am very upset to announce that Adrian Pasdar has been let go from NBC's Heroes, sources confirm to TVGuide.com

There have been rumors circulating for weeks about a major character's death and departure .  Now, I never assumed that it would be Nathan Petrelli. Why? Because at the end of Season 3, his throat was slit by Sylar, but Pasdar remained in the cast because supervillain Sylar was forced  to take on the form and memories of Nathan.

This idea of killing Nathan Petrelli is just insane. I swear to you Nathan has dies in every season of "Heroes".  It is storylines like this that have caused the show to lose so many viewers.  I still love and watch the show, but moves like this make it very hard for me to defend that stance.

I must admit that I maybe a little bias because Nathan along with Sylar are two of the main reasons I tune in every week.  Once again I must say I am very upset with this decision.

Now that Sylar has his body back and the last time we saw the new Nathan, he had been shot and buried.
I wonder how will "Heroes" say goodbye to Nathan Petrelli for the 4th time.

It will also be interesting to see how this will affect Peter and Claire.

I guess with a show like "Heroes" there could still be hope that I will see Nathan Petrelli again.

What do you think of  "Heroes" killing off Nathan?

DURHAM COUNTY: A MUST SEE

Released by Miss TV Girl

I would like to start off by saying that "Durham County " is one of the best television series that I have seen in a very long time. I must admit the show wasn't even on my radar until a friend called and said this looks like something you might enjoy. I don't quite know if I should be happy that my friend knows me so well, or bothered that she saw this very dark show and thought of me.

"Durham County" premiered on ION formerly PAX on September 7th, as its first original scripted program in years. However, Durham County first premiered more than two years ago in Canada. There it had two six episode seasons, but here in the states ION will air it as a 12 episode season.

The series is about a Mike Sweeney(brilliantly played by Hugh Dillon ), a homicide detective who moves his family to suburban Durham County to start over after his partner is killed and his wife Audrey(Helen Joy) is diagnosed with breast cancer. It is revealed early on that Mike has a few secrets of his own to deal with like guilt, infidelity, and a long suppressed penchant for violence. He is certainly a character I am very interested in getting to know.

However, he soon discovers that his neighbor and childhood nemesis Ray Prager.(brilliantly played by Justin Louis) Back in the day, Praeger and Sweeney were best friends. Something went down, over a woman. There was an accident, and Praeger's promising hockey career was cut short and Sweeney disappeared.

There's one other detail about Praeger that's important.

He's just become a copycat killer.

That's not a spoiler. Why? Because what is so great about this show is that they let you in on what's going on pretty much right away. This is a not a series about figuring out who the killer is.
I have only seen the first 4 episodes and I am hooked. The dynamics between these two men and their families are sometimes hard to watch, but at the same time fascinating.
"Durham County" doesn't shy away from the things that would typically make the viewer uncomfortable like violence, death, insecurities, failure, sickness, adultery, divorce and so much more.

I don't know if this show is for everybody, it is definitely not for the sensitive. But if you are interested in seeing something that pulls you in from scene to scene please tune in to "Durham County". I promise you won't be disappointed.
