"BEHIND THE MUSIC" RETURNS AFTER LONG BREAK
Released by Miss Tv Girl
After being out of production for nearly seven years, VH1’s Behind the Music series is ready to take the stage once again.
Behind the Music first debuted in 1997. Episodes have presented profiles of musical performers; focusing on their backgrounds, their rise to fame and often the reason(s) for their decline in popularity. The show quickly became a staple of the cable channel and original episodes were produced until 2002. Reruns were aired for several years afterwards but eventually petered out in 2006.
Of the revival plans, Jeff Olde, VH1’s executive VP of original programming, said, “It felt like the time is right. There’s all sorts of new artists on the scene who have emerged and have these great stories. And there’s other artists that we always wanted to do the first time around.”
The first new episode will air on Thursday, September 10th at 10pm. It’ll focus on the self-proclaimed “best rapper alive,” Lil Wayne, and will look at his childhood, his music, and his struggle to center stage
Other upcoming episodes of Behind the Music include pop songstress
Pink (September 17th)
Bobby Brown (September 24th)
Bret Michaels (October 1st)
T.I. (October 8th)
50 Cent (October 13th).

BIG BROTHER(WEEK 7) NOMINATIONS (SPOILERS)
Kevinn Natalie
Released by Miss TV Girl
The nominations are in and Jeff the new HOH has decided to nominate Natalie and Kevin. The two have been nominated as pawns, the real target is Russell. Yes, I said Russell, Jeff has decided to backdoor Russell based on the lies that Natalie and Kevin have told him about a secret alliance between Russell and Michelle. Now granted some of the lies are true, I think that it is a big mistake to trust Natalie and Kevin.
The final decision will be based on who wins the Power of Veto. If Russell wins, Kevin will be going home this week. Big mistake. To leave Natalie in the house with Michelle and Russell is not a smart move for Jeff and Jordan to make.

CHIMA OF "BIG BROTHER" APOLOGIZES?
Released by Reality TV
Chima Simone of Big Brother 11 is speaking out once again. This time she addresses the controversial and very racist remarks she made against Russell Kairouz while in the Big Brother house.
The derogatory remarks, as Chima calls it, included referring to Russell as a “muslim terrorist.” These racists comments were heard on more than one occasion on the Big Brother live feeds. Below is the full statement Chima gave to Hollyscoop, an entertainment blog she has worked for in the past -
“Upon recently leaving the Big Brother show this season I have been privy to many judgments and criticisms made of every aspect of my being ranging from things as trivial as my appearance to more egregious comments referring to me as a racist.
As a woman of color, I have experienced racism first hand. I know what it is to be discriminated against so I would never want to inflict that pain onto someone else. I will, however, always stand up for myself. Many of you perceive my resolute candor objectionable, but I have always been outspoken and will remain so. I will never apologize for my looks, personality, or straightforwardness.
Nonetheless, I am particularly sorry that my words disparaged the regard and respect that should be shown to all cultures, especially the Middle Eastern community in this time of great turmoil within our nations. In describing Russell’s abusive, bullying, and threatening actions towards me and other houseguests, I referred to him as a terrorist. I used a phrase that was insensitive given his Middle Eastern descent and I apologize to all who are justifiably offended with my use of that racially charged term.
My sentiments concerning his behavior, however, remain intact. I do not agree with his antagonistic rampages throughout the house. Russell constantly demoralized many of us on a consistent basis and his conduct was alarming, daunting, and terrifying.
Fortunately, for me, I do not have to be subjected to those tirades anymore. I am going on with my life in the real world. I wish the remaining BB housemates the best of luck!”
This is the second statement Chima has issued since leaving the Big Brother house. The first statement stated that she had quit the show, and was not evicted from the house by the producers.
Don’t think I’m buying Chima’s half apology, as she even manages to get some digs in against Russell. The sad thing about Chima is that by this time next week, she will be all but forgotten. The few times she is remembered will be in a very negative light. Her name, likeness, and being is forever ruined due to her own actions, and pathetic sense of entitlement.

LIFETIME ORDERS MORE "DROP DEAD DIVA"
Released by Miss TV Girl
Lifetime's comedic drama "Drop Dead Diva" has been renewed for a second season.
The network has ordered 13 new episodes of the freshman series to air in 2010.
"Drop Dead Diva," which premiered in July as Lifetime's best original drama series has become the first scripted series since " Army Wives" to earn a second-season pickup. It has averaged 2.6 million viewers a week.
The series, about a dead shallow model reincarnated in the body of a brilliant plus-size attorney (Brooke Elliott), has been pretty consistent in its storytelling and development of the characters.
I think what has made this show so popular is the talented Brooke Elliott who plays Jane in such a real and vulnerable way. You want so much for her to have everything life has to offer.

"LOST" IS NOW ON HULU
Released by Miss TV Girl
Although I find it hard to believe that not everyone is watching "Lost" and is completely addicted to show
For the unfortunate people out there who have never watched an episode of "Lost" or for some unexplainable reason, stopped watching and realize now how that was such a horrible mistake.
I am here to give you some great news, almost every episode of Lost is now available to stream online.
Up until now, only the first season and the last five episodes of season five had been uploaded for viewing, but now the list has expanded to include the first four seasons in their entirety. . I am sure the complete season five will become available after the DVD set released on December 8th.
I know some believe that "Lost has had its ups and downs, but I have never faltered in my commitment and devotion to what I believe to be one of the greatest and original TV serials of all time.
I am truly upset that this is the last season, however I do agree that it is time to wrap things up and leave on a high note. But with the onset of so many Reality programs I must admit how nice it is to know that at least one night of the week I can tune in to a program with such quality writings, direction, and talent.

NEW TV ON DVD RELEASES
SUMMER TV SCHEDULE DECLARED A FAILURE
Released by John Scott Lewinski/TV Squad
It's not really possible that every summer premiere on the great American broadcast TV schedule crashed and burned, is it?
But, out of all the original programs that premiered on the major networks after the completion of the fall 2008 season, not a single one got traction.
According to analysis reports, you can take your pick from any of the following shows: Defying Gravity, The Superstars, The Listener, Mental, The Philanthropist, Hitched or Ditched, Merlin and Great American Road Trip. All of them bombed -- each hovering just above a one market share.
In fact, you don't need numbers to prove that the fall crop crapped out. Ask your friend what his/her favorite summer replacement show was. You'll be waiting awhile.
The good news for scripted TV fans is that, while the one-hour dramas failed this summer, new reality shows didn't fair much better. When a scripted show tanks, a network loses money. A network that loses money will be tempted to spend less money in the future -- perhaps producing more cheaper reality shows.
But that safe haven is drying up, too. The only real option for networks desperate for hits looks like producing better scripted entertainment.

CHIMA SPEAKS OUT - SAYS SHE QUIT "BIG BROTHER"
Released by Miss Tv Girl
Chima sent an email to the Big Brother Examiner to give her version of what really went on inside of the "Big Brother" house. As you will see in the email below Chima and CBS have very different versions of what went on inside the house. Here is Chima's version. of the events
Hi Thomas. Yes, I did in fact quit the show, although there are reports on EW from CBS to the contrary. Big Brother would like everyone to believe I was kicked off for not following the rules, but I went to the producers repeatedly over the past couple of days wanting to leave....wanting out of that house!
As crazy as that house is, the producers NEVER want the world to think or know that we houseguests DO LEAVE when it becomes futile to stay. I lost faith in the show & my ability to remain committed to this game. All of the remaining housemates know I wanted to leave and that is why any conversation concerning me is cut in the live feed because they don't want America to hear the truth about my voluntary departure.
Do you really believe that I would be expelled for tossing my microphone when past houseguests have only been kicked off for violence & threats of violence? You know better, as do I.
It's better that I left. I did what was best for me in this game and that was to leave. When I chose to play & play hard the power I did earn was completely usurped by a game piece never used before in this game and my HOH reign was rendered useless. I have no regrets. As cliche' as it sounds, until the public is a part of a human pressure cooker, then the judgements should cease.
I find it interesting that my personal attacks on Russell have been highlighted, but his attacks on me pushed under a rug. Selective portrayals? I think so. Russell did terrorize the house, especially the women in the house. Why America constantly finds men attacking women okay, yet vilifies the woman defending herself, will always confound me. But what's done is done, now BB fans can find a new woman to hate. I didn't sign up for what I was exposed to & I left gladly. It was the principle of the matter, the $500,000 prize be damned. That's all for now! Take Care...'
Well I guess we will have to wait and see if CBS responds .

"BIG BROTHER 11"(WEEK 6) SURPRISE DOUBLE EVICTION
Removed
Head of Household
Released by Miss TV Girl
CBS has sent out a press release saying that Chima was removed from the Big Brother house for breaking the rules. What has happened in the "Big Brother" house over the past 24 hours with The Trio Chima, Natalie, and Lydia due to the surprise eviction of Jessie is beyond belief. Their acting as if Jessie's eviction was a death. At one point, after The Trio took a break from crying and eulogizing Jessie -Chima and Lydia started banging on the door to the Diary Room asking to be let in so that the two of them could quit the show due to the producers obvious bias feelings. The drama started the minute Jessie left and is continuing as I write this blog
I will not continue to go into what happened inside the house last night(please read previous postings for details), but I do believe that this is the most unstable "Big Brother" house ever and believe it or not Chima wasn't even one of the craziest.
Lydia and Natalie are now going through the house fighting with Michelle and the things that are being said to Michelle are truly mean, immature and ugly. Lydia is screaming at the houseguests asking to be evicted next because she knows the house wants Natalie out next and God forbid Natalie gets to the jury house with Jessie before she does.
I am so over Natalie and Lydia, the immaturity of these two women is truly unbelievable.
I think Jordan will nominate Natalie and Lydia, however she is going back and forth about probably nominating Kevin instead of Lydia.

CBS: CHIMA WAS KICKED OFF "BIG BROTHER"
Released by Reality Tea
There is a new twist in the whole Chima Simone leaving the Big Brother house saga. We reported earlier today that Chima quit the show, but CBS has now issued an official statement saying Chima was kicked off the show by the producers. The statement is below -
“Chima has been evicted by the producers from the Big Brother house for violating the rules. She will not be part of the show’s jury. Her eviction will be addressed on an upcoming broadcast of the show.”
It was assumed that Chima had quit based on her actions on Friday, and her past threats to quit the show. When the feeds came back on today, the other houseguests also seemed to be under the assumption she had quit. Can’t wait to see the footage of what really happened.
MORE SPOILERS BELOW -
In other spoiler news, Michelle’s reign as HOH is now officially over due to Chima leaving. A new HOH competition is currently taking place at the moment. Michelle is not allowed to participate.

THE CAST OF"HOUSE HUSBANDS OF HOLLYWOOD"
Released by Reality Tea
Ready or not, here they come! Another reality TV show similar to Bravo’s “Real Housewives” is the “Househusbands of Hollywood” on FOX reality channel premiering Aug. 15 at 9 p.m. The new show will feature five stay-at-home men who run the house while their wives head to work.
Househusbands of Hollywood will feature former L.A. Dodger Billy Ashley; aspiring actor Danny Barclay; “A Different World” star Darryl M. Bell, who’s married to “Cosby Show” actress Tempest Bledsoe; onetime “Gentleman Bandit” star Charlie Mattera, and Grant Reynolds, husband of “Good Day LA” anchor Jillian Reynolds.
Grants says, the main difference between the “Housewives” and the “Househusbands” is that the guys are actually all friends. In addition, instead of the usual drama the show will focus on raising a family.
According to the show’s producer, the purpose of the show isn’t to create disasters but to capture these men trying to prevent them.
Initially, both Tempest and Daryl were hesitant about being a part of the show but changed their minds once they realized the positive message the show was trying to convey to viewers. “It’s a good time to look at these men for who they really are,” she said. “For a man to stay at home and take care of his child, that is the most difficult job that there is, and I think it’s time to give them credit for doing that.
“Reality shows usually is a lot of fighting,” she added, “but it’s nice to see a show that’s lighthearted and good-spirited and you don’t have to sit down and cringe every time you look at the screen.”
After several years of reality show train wrecks, I am amazed that people are still willing to display their lives on national TV.

CHIMA QUITS "BIG BROTHER"
Released by Reality Tea
Chima Simone has officially quit Big Brother 11. The most annoying houseguest in BB history 32 years old freelance journalist from California freaked out on the live feeds last night and is no longer on the show.
The feeds were cut off for about 2 hours early this morning, Chima was no longer in the house once they came back on. There is some speculation as to what exactly happened but there are certain facts that we do know.
THE REMAINDER OF THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS AS WELL AS MORE DETAILS ON CHIMA’S QUITTING.
Michelle nominated Chima and Natalie for eviction last night.
Chima spent most of last night being surprisingly calm until she decided her cheetos were missing. She asked the other HGs (House Guests) – Russell, Jeff, Michelle, and Jordan about her cheetos’ whereabouts. Jeff and Jordan said they had no idea, Russell said nothing. This made Chima upset, she decided to hide some of Russell’s belongings, as well as throw her mic pack in the pool.
The live feeds go off momentarily after this and according to an insider, this is what took place afterwards -
“Chima was refusing to put her mic on last night for I guess the entire time BBAD (Big Brother After Dark on Showtime) was on. At one point she threw it into the pool. After BBAD went off, production called a house meeting. Everything went to fish on live feeds.
Big Brother producer Allison Grodner told Chima she would have to pay for the mic pac out of her stipend (Allegedly $5000). Chima said f**k this s**t, I am outta here. She told Natalie and Lydia “I love you,” went to the Diary Room, pressed the button, it wouldnt’ go green. So she starts screaming DON”T F**K WITH ME! She goes into the DR and apparently goes bat sh%t crazy on production (who was told to tape everything). Lydia and Natalie want to leave as well but production tells them to chill a minute. Lydia is crying and banging on the DR door.”
That is what allegedly took place. What we do know is the feeds came back on hours later, and Chima was gone. I blogged a week ago about this season’s Big Brother being different because in my opinion, a lot of these contestants appeared “unstable.” Big Brother claims to do thorough psych evaluations for each contestant, but I’m not sure how thorough these evaluations really are.
My guess is they purposely put in these “unstable” HGs to get some major drama. Well if it’s drama they wanted, they got it! As a huge BB fan, I will say I am disappointed that we have multiple HGs threatening and wanting to quit because things did not go their way. What happened to the contestants who had passion for the game, and were willing to do almost anything to win? They need to do a better job with casting, and perhaps hire a better bunch of psychiatrists.
No word yet on what will happen with the nominations and evictions.

"BIG BROTHER 11(WEEK 6) EVICTION (SPOILERS)
Evicted
Head of Household
Released by Miss TV Girl
I would like to start off by saying Thank You "Big Brother" producers for bringing back the Coup d'Etat to shake up this predictable game that I personally was growing tired of watching. I would like to next say Thank You to the "Big Brother" audience for giving the Coup d'Etat to Jeff. Now that I have shown my gratitude lets move on to what happened on tonights episode.
Jeff decided to use the Coup d'Etat and took both Russell and Lydia off of the block and replaced them with Natalie and Jessie. Yes, I am doing the happy dance. Finally someone made a smart move.
Okay, so this is how it all went down and the rules - - Julie asks if someone will be using the Coup d'Etat. Jeff stands. He is going to use it. Jeff can change one or both of the nominations. Chima can compete in the HOH which really sucks. Jeff takes Lydia off the block. He puts Natalie in her place. Jeff takes Russell off the block. Jeff puts up Jessie in Russell's place. Jessie takes off his shirt, and underneath is a shirt with Jessie's picture and the phrase, "the Man, the Myth, the Legend." Jeff tells Natalie and Jeff that they have been running the house, and they need to feel the block. Neither Jeff or Chima can vote. Both Jessie and Natalie are in shock, although they thought it was coming. Lydia votes first and votes to evict Natalie. Jordan votes to evict Jessie, and so does Kevin and Michele. Russell votes to evict Natalie. Jessie is out. When he gets the news, he gives Natalie a big hug, and only a short one for Lydia. Chima is upset and wants to talk to the Producers because she thinks that Jeff told Russell. She has no proof , just an drama filled accusation , which by way is wrong.
The HOH competition pit two houseguests against each other with the losing getting knocked out. The competition came down to Michelle and Kevin.
Michelle is now the new Head Of Household. For the first time this season I have no idea which two houseguest she will nominate. Well that is not totally true, I think Russell probably shouldn't unpack.

Jeff tells Natalie and Jeff that they have been running the house, and they need to feel the block.

GREAT NEWS FOR "BURN NOTICE",BUT WHAT ABOUT OTHER TV SHOWS
Released by Miss TV Girl
Burn Notice goes out on top. The first half of its third season drew 7.6 million viewers and 2.8 million in the 18-49 demo, making it the top scripted show of the night.
I wish these numbers meant as much to the big three networks, FOX and The CW. If so, maybe tv shows would have a chance to build a following.Watching the non cable tv shows can be very frustrating with how the networks are pulling them after 3 to 6 showings.
I personally have decided not to watch a new show until I know that it has been picked up. Yes, this does cause a backup on the DVR, but why invest your time into something to only have it pulled without a chance to build an audience. I think my real problem is that I still haven't recovered from the cancellation of "Journeyman and "Will Traveler". I mean, could the networks at least commit to wrapping up the storylines. Now, I know the average person probably doesn't get as wrapped up into a tv show as I do, but I want a conclusion and I know that I am not alone..
I think that the networks are starting to catch on that fans aren't willing to commit until we see that the networks are behind the show. This season alone more than half of the cancelled tv shows were allowed to wrap up their storylines before being pulled off of the air and some shows were allowed to return even though the ratings were low,but the fan commitment was high .
I am just finding more stability, commitment, and happiness in my cable television viewing these days.

BIG BROTHER 11 (WEEK 5) POWER OF VETO WINNER (SPOILERS)
Released by Miss TV Girl
Kevin(The Floater) has won the Power of Veto. The players were Chima,Russell, Lydia, Jeff, Natalie, and Kevin.
Kevin has discussed with Chima the possibility of him not using the POV to save Lydia, of course he has reservations about the using the POV that would require him to make a power move and play the game. Lydia has stated that she is alright with staying on the block as a pawn if the votes are really there to vote out Russell. Volunteering to be the pawn is always a mistake. I will admit that however, this year all pawns have remained pawn, but it is still not safe to trust the houseguest when sitting in that nominated seat.
Practically the whole house believes that Jeff has the Coup D'Etat power and Chima is thinking about getting Kevin to use the POV to pull Lydia down, so that she can replace her with Jeff. This move would force Jeff to play his hand and reveal what the mystery power entails.
I know that I keep saying this, but for the life of me I do not understand the houseguest this year. Rather you keep the nominations the same or replace Jeff with Lydia doesn't really make a difference. So how is this some type of "I got you move" by houseguest towards Jeff. Regardless of who is on the block or not, he still has the power to nominate and/or remove anyone of his choice. Although, the other houseguest do not know exactly what the actually mystery power entails they know you can not be evicted if it is in your possession.
In reality Jeff has been the HOH for the past two weeks. Ronnie left the house last week because Jeff wanted him to leave the house and the same will go for the person evicted this week.

SUSAN LUCCI MAY NOT MAKE THE MOVE TO LA WITH "ALL MY CHILDREN"
Released by Miss TV Girl
It is starting to look like Susan Lucci may not make the move to Los Angeles when "All My Children" relocates.
"We just found out a day and a half ago, and we've been dancing a marathon at All My Children ever since"So, we're all walking around in shock." "I don't know ... I love the show and I love playing Erica [Kane]," says the Scarsdale native who even went to college in New York. "But I'm just now going to have a couple of days off. It's a lot to think about." the actress, 62, told PEOPLE at Thursday's New York City Feed the Children's Daytime Gives Back event.
Now I have never watched"All My Children", but I am very aware of the very popular character Erica Kane, that Ms. Lucci has played for more than 39 years. Who could also ever forget when she finally won the Daytime Emmy award after 18 nominations in 1999.
If this is a negotiation ploy, well I guess we will just have to wait and see how this plays out. Considering what has been going on lately with the downsizing of production cost cancellations and the brutal contract negotiations, which have left some of soap opera's favorite divas without a job(Diedra Hall ), or huge pay cuts(Melody Thomas Scott Jess Walton, and Robin Strasser) within this last year.

BIG BROTHER 11(WEEK 5) NOMINATIONS (SPOILERS)
Russell Lydia
Released by Miss TV Girl
Like a guessed Thursday, because there are no surprises in this predictable"Big Brother" house, Chima nominated Russell and Lydia. She has decided to allow the two of them the chance to fight for the POV.
Jordon(our resident genius) has decided that she wants to pair up with the people in the house who have had a target pointed at her and Jeff's back since day one and vote Russell out. Like I said genius. Now don't get me wrong, I am no fan of Russell, but he did keep his word last week and didn't nominate Jordan or Jeff when his alliance wanted them out.
I think that Jeff is planning to use the "Coup D'Etat" to save Russell if he doesn't win POV. I think this a very smart move because I believe that he will use the power to pull down both Russell and Lydia and replace them with Jessie and Natalie.
I honestly think Jeff should make that move if Jessie or Natalie doesn't win POV. That would be the best play of season.
It is time to shake things up in the "Big Brother" house.

BIG BROTHER 11(WEEK 5) EVICTION(SPOILERS)
Evicted
Head of Household
Released by Miss TV Girl
On tonight's live eviction of "Big Brother", Ronnie was finally evicted . Thank You !!!!!!! Big Brother houseguests. I can't believe Ronnie had the nerve to try and call Michelle a liar and snake when he is the true liar and snake. His exit speech was ridiculous. Like I said from the beginning his game strategy was horrible. The only people who thought that Ronnie staying in the house would be beneficial were the biggest idiots in the house Jessie, Natalie and Chima.
The fight between Chima and Russell was embarrassing to watch and I will not discuss the matter any further. Now lets get to Michelle who really showed her lying and scheming skills tonight. The look on Russell's face when she professed that she didn't talk to him about Chima wanting to backdoor him was priceless. Great way to take the focus off of you Michelle and step back and let Chima and Russell go at each other. I guess she learned that move from Dan (Big Brother winner from last year).
It will be interesting to see who Chima decides to nominate for eviction. If her plan is not to backdoor Russell, I think her nominations will be Russell and Lydia.

DADDY'S GIRLS RETURNS FOR 2ND SEASON AUGUST 11TH
Released by MTV
The second season of MTV's hit series "Daddy's Girls" returns on Tuesday, August 11 at 10:00pm ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes. "Daddy's Girls" returns with a exciting look at the adventures of reality TV darlings, Angela and Vanessa Simmons, as they work toward the road to success. With an expanding circle of friends, a new plush pad in the Hollywood Hills, and a clothing line growing in new directions, the sisters are inching closer to their dreams and creating unforgettable experiences with friends along the way.
In the season premiere, Angela and Vanessa make the move to their fabulous new house, but things turn crazy when the sisters battle over the bigger room and Angela hatches a secret plan to have her childhood bestie, Danielle, move in. And on the Pastry front, The girls decide to take their brand to the next level with a retail store. In the second episode, airing at 10:30pm, Angela and Danielle learn no good deed goes unpunished when they bring home rescue animals, only to be met with a huge reaction - an ALLERGIC reaction from Vanessa's boyfriend.
As the ladies take greater strides to independence, they have a close network of friends to keep them on course and have fun along the way. In addition to Angela and Vanessa Simmons, the cast of "Daddy's Girls" is:
Jessica Brown - Vanessa and Angela's cousin Jessica is a shoot-from-the-hip, athletic spitfire with a mean jump shot and quick wit. Since relocating to Los Angeles to help her cousins out with their Pastry line, she has taken on a mission to discover who she is. This season Jessica sets out to explore her inner desires by getting back to her Panamanian roots and playing more basketball as well as giving back to the community.
Lynn James - Lynn is a fun-loving, career-driven model attempting to break into the entertainment industry. Lynn is also a nature enthusiast who enjoys horseback riding and camping. Lynn and Vanessa have been close buddies since college and share some of the same interests, which has the tendency to provoke competition at times.
Brian Bolton - A modest, goofy, man-about-town who is a dead ringer for Johnny Depp. Having worked as a club promoter and in A&R, Brian gets behind the velvet ropes access to all of LA's hot spots. Brian has branched out as a music manager/producer at a hip-hop label and searches for new artists to sign. Along with his day job in music, Brian is also a graphic designer which could lead to a collaboration with Angela and Vanessa on a new shoe line.
Fans can get the party started online on the show's official website at http://daddysgirls.mtv.com for full episodes, photos and exclusive clips of the show.

BIG RATINGS FOR TORI AND DEAN SEASON FINALE
Released by Oxygen
For the first time in network history, Oxygen delivered over one million viewers in the key A18-49 demo with last night's season finale of "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood." The finale, featuring baby Stella's first birthday party, also makes history as Oxygen's most watched telecast ever. The telecast attracted 1,037,000 A18-49; 813,000 W18-49, 404,000 W18-34 and 1,471,000 total viewers according to Nielsen Media Research. This is Oxygen's 25th telecast to draw in over one million total viewers.
The season four finale topped even last year's finale which featured Stella's birth. Compared to the season three finale, season four was up 11% among A18-49, 8% among W18-49, 18% among W18-34 and 16% among total viewers.
ALL MY CHILDREN AND ONE LIFE TO LIVE ON THE MOVE
Released by Allison Waldman/TV Squad
For nearly a week, ABC denied that there was any truth to the rumor that All My Children was moving to the West Coast. Then yesterday the network just announced the cross-country relocation. ABC Daytime released a statement explaining that this December, All My Children -- which has been produced in New York City for 39 years -- is going to Los Angeles. And One Life to Live, also a New York soap, is getting All My Children's studio. Yes, a hand-me down facility, but just don't think of it that way.
While the move for AMC and OLTL will mean better facilities and more space, what about the casts and crews? Will all the actors on AMC make the move west -- or is this a way to cost cut and drop a few players along the way? Susan Lucci is a given; she'll go west.
But what about an actor like James Mitchell who turned 89 last February? Granted, he's only a recurring player now, but still, Palmer Cortlandt is a fixture in Pine Valley. He's integral. But has anyone worried about the actors?
The network didn't address those issues. It would seem a given that a lot of jobs in the crew and staff will be lost because OLTL won't need them since they have their own crew and staff. However, if you ask me, One Life will follow AMC west within the year. Ultimately, ABC Daytime will want all its soap production in the same place.
On the plus side, AMC will be upgraded to HD. The new HD AMC will begin broadcasting in February 2010.

THE CW NETWORK BOSS TALKS ABOUT NEW SEASON
Released by J. Godwin & N. Abrams/EOnline
The CW has original content. Really. Sure, the CW schedule seems to be chock-full of remakes, book adaptations, franchise extensions and spinoffs, but there is TV-native material on there somewhere. (We're sitting in the Life Unexpected panel right now, and that's totally an original series.)
Still, this is the year of Melrose Place (it's gonna be so good, you guys), and as such, the spotlight at the Television Press Tour was on the myriad ways that the See-Dub might further capitalize on its success reimagining existing material.
What about another Gossip Girl spinoff? Could there be a third '90s series remake on the network after 90210 and Melrose Place—Party of Five, anyone? Read on for the answers from CW boss Dawn Ostroff herself.
• Gossip Girl Spinoff: The '80s-set Gossip Girl spinoff we saw last year spring will never see the light of day. When asked if there was any hope of seeing the moribund backdoor pilot go to series, CW boss Dawn Ostroff said, "Not right now." So sad. We'll never even know that show's real name. Was it Lily? Or maybe Valley Girls? The mystery abides. And why did the show die such a premature death? Dawn says, "I think there was a bit of a disadvantage, because we decided to do it that way instead of doing a full pilot. I think it was hard for everybody to understand what the world would be like on its own."
• Try, Try Again: Although "Lily" died aborning, that doesn't mean the CW wouldn't give some other Gossip Girl spinoff another go. Ostroff says, "If [executive producers] Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage would be open to it, of course we'd be open to it. There is a spinoff actually of the book series which is called The It Girl, and we've explored that with them. It's been harder to find how you make that a world that's well-rounded enough for us, because it takes place at a boarding school, and it's very insular."
• Body Politic: Dawn Ostroff also confirmed that Body Politic (the promising pilot starring Brian Austin Green, Minka Kelly and Gabrielle Union) is definitely, definitely dead. According to Ostroff, programming the network this season was a real "Sophie's choice," because, "Literally every pilot we shot this year could have made the schedule this year...It was just a matter of where would it fit on our schedule...Honestly, it's just what did we feel we had the best opportunity to kind of break out with."
• Crossover? Pencil in a 90210-Melrose Place crossover for winter sweeps. Nothing's confirmed, but clearly the buzz potential of such an event is not lost on the CW's execs. When asked about the prospect of West Bev visiting Melrose Place and vice versa, Ostroff said, "That would be a big event for us," and that "technically we could do that because both shows are shot in L.A."
• Sorry, No New Charlie Salinger: When asked how much '90s serial television the CW could plumb before their current remake rampage ends, Dawn Ostroff said, "I don't know if we'd do Party of Five, but there are other shows we're looking at that we would possibly think about."
• Mischa Barton: Despite what one reporter insinuated, Dawn Ostroff swears that Mischa Barton does not currently look bloated or fat. Ostroff also said that while they were "concerned" about whether or not M.B. would be ready for the beginning of production on The Beautiful Life, "what went on her personal life is personal." Awww, what a magnimous network boss.
THE REAL REASON CBS CANCELLED "WITHOUT A TRACE"
Released by Allison Waldman/TV Squad
Amid the CBS Summer Press Tour this week, the subject came up about why the network had cancelled Without A Trace. It wasn't ratings, which is clearly the truth because just this past weekend, Without A Trace was pulling over six million viewers for a rerun, doubling the number of people who tuned in for the brand new ABC series, Defying Gravity. Therefore, if Without A Trace was still capable of besting the fodder produced by the competition, why on earth would CBS dump it?
"Every show has its own life cycle," said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler, who went on to explain that the shows the network had in development were just too good to wait. In other words, The Good Wife, Three Rivers and NCIS: Los Angeles, none of which are proven hits, were more important than an established success.
Frankly, that's a lot of crap. It's bad business. If Without A Trace still worked -- and it did -- CBS could have put it into the mid-season rotation and waited for the fate of the new hour dramas. This decision was not about the life cycle, either. It was about money. Without A Trace was going to start costing CBS more money because the cast were all going to be re-upping for additional seasons. Rather than pay the fare, CBS let it go.
What doesn't add up to me, though, is why another network didn't pick up the show. NBC has no room for a 10 o'clock show -- thanks, Jay Leno -- but what about ABC or Fox? You think either of those networks wouldn't mind about six million loyal viewers tuning in and perhaps sticking around for more?
By the way, I recently cleared out my DVR and watched the final two episodes of Without A Trace. Tassler is right that the show went out while it was still vibrant and strong. It still seems as though it was too soon. There were a couple of more years left in that series, a couple of more good years.

WAYNE BRADY TO HOST THE NEW "LET'S MAKE A DEAL"
Releases by Lynn Elber/AP TV
The game show "Let's Make a Deal" is coming back to daytime television.
CBS says that an updated version of the show will debut Oct. 5, with Wayne Brady as host. The network says that the premise of audience members trying to win cash and prizes by making "wacky deals" will be intact.
Monty Hall, longtime host of the original "Let's Make a Deal," is a consultant on the new show. It will replace "Guiding Light," the soap opera that's ending its more than five-decade run Sept. 21.
CBS programming chief Nina Tassler told the Television Critics Association that the change represents a "very tough transition" for the network, and that three game show pilots were scrutinized before "Let's Make a Deal" won out.

The Fox network says Kara DioGuardi (KA'-ruh dee-oh-GWAHR'-dee) will be back for her second round as a judge on "American Idol."
The Grammy-nominated songwriter joined original panelists Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul last season.
Her arrival raised questions about the future of Abdul on the hit talent competition. Abdul is still negotiating for next year.

"FAMILY GUY" CELEBRATES EMMY NOD WITH MINI-MARATHON
Released by Fox
FAMILY GUY, one of only two animated series ever to receive an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, will celebrate with a three-episode mini-marathon of the season's best episodes. The marathon, airing Sunday, Aug. 16 (8:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, will feature back-to-back episodes of FAMILY GUY, including
In the "Road to Germany" (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Mort accidentally steps into a time machine, and Brian and Stewie follow him in order to bring him back. When they discover they're in Poland on the day of the Nazi invasion, things go from bad to worse and the trio has to find a way back to Quahog safely.
In "I Dream of Jesus" (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT), after Peter (voiced by Emmy-nominee Seth MacFarlane) re-discovers his love for the painfully annoying yet seductively catchy tune "The Bird's the Word," Brian and Stewie decide to take matters into their own hands to ensure that the song will never be heard again! In "Family Gay" (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT), to help pay off his incredible debt, Peter participates in medical experiments to make some extra cash. First, he gets injected with the "Seth Rogen" gene (guest-voiced by Rogen) that "gives you the appearance of being funny even though you haven't actually done anything funny." Then he is injected with a gene that leads him to a new mate, leaving a broken-hearted Lois behind. Although the family is crushed, they quickly realize the most important thing is that Peter is happy.

BIG BROTHER 11(WEEK 4) POWER OF VETO WINNER(SPOILERS)
Released by Miss TV Girl
Michelle has won the Power of Veto once again. I think Michelle should be careful, winning the Power of Veto two weeks straight can put a big target on your back. There was no real reason to fight for it being that Ronnie is the true target. Now I know that no one is really ever safe in the "Big Brother" house , but honestly I believe Russell would have just targeted Lydia if Ronnie had won POV.
I can also inform you that Ronnie is promising Michelle the world right now in order to keep him safe. I think Michelle should just leave the nominations the same. The goal of the house should be to eliminate Jesse's alliances. He has aligned himself with almost the whole house and everybody is aware of these alliances, that is to much power.
I know that I have mentioned this before, but the houseguest this year are the worse players in "Big Brother" history. I can't even believe that I am saying this, but Ronnie and Jesse are playing the better game and their idiots.
Jesse should be the real target not Ronnie. Where are you in your life when Ronnie is your biggest fear?
"Big Brother" houseguest, please wise up and get Jesse out of the house and/or start eliminating his alliances one by one.

UPDATE: "FUTURAMA GETS MOST OF ITS ORIGINAL VOICES BACK
Released by Jason Hughes
It looks like it may have all been tactics after all. At least so far. While I'm thrilled that the majority of the Futurama voice actors have signed deals to reprise their roles, they're still missing two of the key talents. Can you really imagine Futurama with different voices for Fry, Zoidberg, Farnsworth and Bender? At the same time, I can't really see Billy West (Fry, Zoidberg, Farnsworth) and John Di Maggio (Bender) walking away from this.
Di Maggio is currently working on Penguins of Madagascar, but neither is working on anything as high profile as Futurama. I can't imagine they have any intention of truly walking away from a revival getting this much press. They were just trying to play hardball, and realized that 20th Century wasn't going to play.
I think it would have been fun if they'd recast the characters. They would have probably even addressed it right in the episodes, having them talk about how they all sound different and coming up with some ridiculous reason for it.
