NAACP IMAGE AWAR NOMINATIONS

The nominations were announced at a press conference that featured Tay Diggs, comedian Wanda Sykes, "Brothers Star" Michael Strahan, Tatyana Ali and Kyle and Chris Massey.

The 41st NAACP Image Awards will air live beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Friday, Feb. 26 on FOX.

KIM RAVER CHECKS INTO "GREY'S ANATOMY" FULL-TIME

Kim Raver has signed on permanently  with "Grey's Anatomy" after just two months.
The "Lipstick Jungle" star first appeared in the ninth episode as new cardio surgeon Tedddy Altman,brought in by former colleague Owen(Kevin McKidd).

Her character has recently stirred things up by professing her feelings to Owen, who is in love with Christina.  I don't know about you, but I see a love triangle brewing .

Raver is expected to appear in all but one of the show's remaining 12 episodes this season.

"Greys Anatomy" returns from hiatus on Thursdays, January 14.

NBC PICKS UP ADAM CAROLLA PILOT

NBC has given a plot order to an untitled comedy starring Adam Carolla.

In the single -camera prject Carolla plays a contractor who embarks on rebuilding his life afte a divorce.

The project is being executive produced by BermanBraun and Jackhole Industries, Carolla's company with his longtime friend Jimmy Kimmel.

Adam Carolla was last seen on ABC'a "Dancing with the Stars" and currently host a daily talk show podcast.

The Carolla project is the first comedy pilot for NBC this season.

LAW & ORDER: RENEWED FOR A HISTORIC SEASON 21

I have great news for "Law & Order" fans. NBC's President of Primetime Entertainment, Angela Bromstad, has vowed to renew it for another year.

The series revolves around NYPD crime investigations and the trials that follow first debuted in September 1990. To the delight of fans the premise has remained the same, however number of cast changes are way to many to count. I personally started watching during the Jesse Martin and Benjamin Bratt years and I have stayed committed to watching every episode ever since.

The current addition of Jeremy Sisto, Anthony Anderson and Linus Roache has been my favorite.

The show has been on the air for 20 seasons now, and a lot of fols including myself thought that this would be the last season. I am happy to have been completely wrong.

With considerable concessions made by Wolf last spring in order to keep the show on the air and with the decline in ratings this season,
cancellation seemed imminent.

So it looks like "Law & Order will surpass "Gunsmoke's" record

KEVIN ALEJANDRO JOINS "TRUE BLOOD"

Kevin Alejandro, a member of TNT's "Southland" ensemble, is joining the cast of "True Blood" for its third season.

Alejandro will play a love interest for Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), according to The Hollywood Reporter. His character, Jesus, is an orderly who's helping care for Lafayette's mom (Alfre Woodard). He's scheduled to appear "in almost every episode" of season 3, which will debut in the summer.

He's also still attached to "Southland." The former NBC series debuts on TNT on Jan. 12, but the cable channel is planning to see how it performs before deciding whether to go back into production. That leaves some room on Alejandro's schedule for "True Blood."

JULIE BENZ JOINS "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES"

After having her character killed off of "Dexter" in the most gruesome bathroom scene ever, the actress has signed on for at least 3 episodes of 'Desperate Housewives", according to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello.

Ausiello is confirming that Benz has been cast as Debbie, a stripper with a heart of gold and a Masters degree in education, who Susan befriends.

The episodes are scheduled to air in February.

PROJECT RUNWAY RETURNS JANUARY 14TH

"Project Runway" returns Thursday, January14 on Lifetime.  I am sure hoping for a better season than the last one.  The producers have confirmed that the original judges Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, and Michael Kors will appear in all episodes.  Hopfully this will help to keep the most gifted designers around, unlike last season.  

Nicole Richie will appear as a guest judge on the season's first episode.

Survivor which is in its 20th season will debut on Thursday, February 11 with a 2 hour premiere This season is a "Heroes vs Villain" All Star game.

The returning players have not been announced.

I have never watched "The Amazing Race", but I just might tune in this season to see Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyde who were both fan favorites on this past season of one of my favorite shows "Big Brother".

CBS has also announced that they will air a special on Feb 4th called "Surviving Survivor".  The special will take a look at past contestants and memorable moments from "Survivor".

GIULIANA & BILL: SEASON 2 RETURNS SUNDAY, JAN 3

I love the relationship between Giuliana and Bill, and I am sure everyone would agreen with me when I say that Giuliana is a very lucky lady.  I am  excited to see what the season has to offer.

SNEAK PEEK: BIG LOVE 4TH SEASON TRAILER

If you felt the earlier dreamy, floating "Big Love" trailer for Season Four was a bit lacking in substance, then you ought to be pleased with the new one.

Clocking in at only about a minute, this trailer really packs in several plots and lots of intense drama.

Not only do we see Bill meeting obstacles in his bid for Utah state senate candidacy, but also the opening of the new casino (and Barb's controversial role there), Margene's success as a home shopping personality, Nicki's lingering feelings and well, you can see for yourself:



The fourth season of "Big Love" kicks off on Sunday, Jan. 10.

"Big Love" nabbed three Golden Globes nominations for the past year, including one for best drama, best actor in a drama (Bill Paxton) and best supporting actress (Chloe Sevigny).

MAGNUM PI: WHERE ARE THEY NOW

It's been 30 years since Tom Selleck introduced us to his Hawaii-dwellin', Tigers cap-wearin', Ferrari-borrowin', generally-mooching private investigator Thomas Magnum.

'Magnum P.I.' premiered Dec. 11, 1980 and ran for eight seasons on CBS -- and was a top-20 rated show for the first five. It followed formal Naval intelligence officer-turned-P.I. Magnum as he lived on the palatial estate of wealthy writer Robin Masters; the estate was operated by fussy Jonathan Higgins, who may or may not have been the same person.

Magnum's BFFs Rick and T.C. helped him out on his cases, and, though the action mostly revolved around the four main characters, a slew of guest stars passed through the show, including Frank Sinatra, Carol Burnett, Sharon Stone, Ian McShane, Ted Danson, Dana Delany, Dennis Haysbert, Tyne Daly, Angela Lansbury and TV uber-producer Stephen J. Cannell.

And though playing the P.I. in 'Magnum' cost Selleck the lead in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' -- his 'Magnum' shooting scheduled would have conflicted with the 'Raiders' production, though a writers' strike later made the issue moot, after Harrison Ford had already landed the part -- movieland's loss was a big gain for TV viewers.

In honor of the show's 30th anniversary, we're checking in with what the 'Magnum' gang has been up to since the show's May 1988 series finale.

Tom Selleck:
Thomas Magnum
He won an Emmy and a Golden Globe, and made Hawaiian shirts, short shorts for men and, of course, the mustache, sexy. Magnum was a seemingly irreverent beach bum who had actually been a Navy intelligence officer and athlete, and who went out of his way for his friends and clients. At the end of the series, Magnum found out he had a daughter and he resumed his Naval career to give her a stable life. Post-'Magnum,' Selleck focused on his big-screen career, starring in a sequel to his hit 'Three Men and a Baby,' 'In & Out' and, most recently, 'Killers.' He also operates a working avocado ranch in California, and has never really left TV land, with a memorable stint as Courteney Cox's boyfriend Richard on 'Friends,' taking over for James Caan on 'Las Vegas,' starring in and producing the popular 'Jesse Stone' movie franchise for CBS and, this year, starring as NYPD commissioner Frank Reagan in CBS' family cop drama 'Blue Bloods.' Selleck has also confirmed that he and co-stars Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg are awaiting the script to begin another 'Three Men and a Baby' sequel, and fans continue to hope that the star will have some part in the long-in-development 'Magnum, P.I.' big-screen movie that, throughout the last decade, has been rumored to be headed to theaters with everyone from George Clooney to Jason Lee as the movie Magnum.

John Hillerman:
Jonathan Higgins
Higgins, a WWII veteran and a member of Scottish nobility, was tougher than his fussy image might have made him appear, as he retired, post-military career, to the Hawaiian estate of author Robin Masters, where he became the majordomo of "Robin's Nest." He spent much of his time exasperated by Magnum and his tendencies to come and go, say and do, as he pleased. The two liked and respected each other, though, despite the fact that Magnum often prompted Higgins' trademark "Oh. My. God, Magnum!" response, as well as the ire of Higgins' Dobermans, Zeus and Apollo, who he referred to as "The Lads." In the series finale, Higgins confirmed Magnum's suspicion that Higgins was Robin Masters, but then later told him he had lied, leaving viewers with a cliffhanger. As for Hillerman, who was best known as Ann Romano's boss Mr. Connors (who referred to her as "M.S. Romano") on 'One Day at a Time,' his post-'Magnum' career has consisted of a stint as Jason Bateman's grandpa Lloyd on 'The Hogan Family,' and a pair of guest appearances on 'Murder, She Wrote.' The 77-year-old Hillerman, who, like Selleck, won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for 'Magnum,' is now retired and living in his native Texas.

Roger E. Mosley:
Theodore "T.C." Calvin
Former Naval aviator and officer T.C. (who was often seen sporting his Da Nang cap) was one of Magnum's closest pals (the two had been prisoners of war together during the Vietnam War), and, as the proprietor of a tourist chopper business called Island Hoppers, one of Magnum's go-to guys when he needed to get somewhere that the Ferrari wouldn't take him -- or when he needed muscle back-up. In the series finale, as Magnum goes off to raise his daughter, T.C. also reunites with his wife and children. Mosley, meanwhile, has remained active in TV land since 'Magnum,' with recurring roles on 'Hangin' with Mr. Cooper' and the Showtime drama 'Rude Awakening,' and a reunion with Selleck and Larry Manetti on an episode of 'Las Vegas' in 2007. Mosley also had a memorable role as the doomed partner of psycho cop Ray Liotta in the big-screen thriller 'Unlawful Entry,' and, currently, he plays the grandfather of Donald Faison's character -- Donald Faison -- in NBC's Web comedy 'FCU: Fact Checkers Unit.'

Larry Manetti:

Rick was Magnum's other best friend, also a fellow Vietnam War vet (he was T.C.'s door gunner during the war); in fact, the three each sport a Team Ring, a black ring with a Croix de Lorraine -- a symbol of wartime bonding -- on it. A well-connected playboy with a fondness for fancy clothes, Rick ran the exclusive King Kamehameha Club, which was owned by Robin Masters, and also did many a favor for his P.I. buddy. In the series finale, Rick was engaged to marry former hooker Cleo, though, in another cliffhanger, we never actually see him say the words "I do." After 'Magnum,' Manetti guest starred on TV shows like 'Quantum Leap,' had recurring roles on 'Walker, Texas Ranger,' 'Renegade' and 'JAG,' and reunited with Selleck and Mosley at the 2009 TV Land Awards, where the trio was given the Hero Award for their 'Magnum' days. Manetti also wrote the fun book 'Aloha Magnum,' about his experiences on the show and meeting fellow celebs, including 'Magnum' guest Frank Sinatra, with whom he became friends. Autographed copies of the book are for sale at Manetti's website, which also includes his personal photos from the 'Magnum' set.

Jeff MacKay:
Lt. Mac MacReynolds
The only TV character who possibly loved doughnuts more than Homer Simpson, Mac was Magnum's Navy intelligence pal who was killed off in a car bomb -- that was meant for Magnum -- and returned later as a ghost and as a completely different character, con man Jim Bonig. MacKay, a cousin of Robert Redford who had already co-starred with Larry Manetti in the 1970s series 'Black Sheep Squadron,' also starred in the cult classic, one-season adventure series 'Tales of the Gold Monkey' and voiced Fireflight in the 'Transformers' cartoon during his stint on 'Magnum.' After the show wrapped, he reunited with John Hillerman in the short-lived drama 'Berlin Break,' and played Patrick Labyorteaux's father on 'JAG.' MacKay died of liver failure in 2008.

Kwan Hi Lim:
Lt. Yoshi Tanaka
Magnum often encountered funny Honolulu homicide detective Tanaka while working on cases, and the two became friends, bonding over their mutual love of the Detroit Tigers. In a Season 8 shocker, Tanaka was killed off during an undercover drug investigation. Lim, who didn't begin his acting career until he was in his forties, was also an attorney who continued to practice law while starring on shows like 'Hawaii Five-O' and 'Magnum.' After 'Magnum,' he made an appearance in the Vietnam War series 'Tour of Duty' and continued his legal career, working as a family court judge in Hawaii. Lim died in Hawaii in 2008.

Gillian Dobb:
Agatha Chumley
An English socialite with a big crush on Higgins, Agatha's feelings, sadly, were not reciprocated. They were good friends, however, especially since she provided him with a connection to the high culture he felt he lacked in the presence of Magnum and his friends. Agatha, to Higgins' annoyance, was actually fond of Magnum. As for Dobb, she was a local actress who, according to 'Magnum, P.I.' set designer Rick Romer's blog, was very much like her character: the charming, fan-favorite Agatha. 'Magnum' was her only major acting job, and she died, at age 71, in 2001.

Orson Welles:
Robin Masters
Yes, that Orson Welles. Welles was the voice -- his face was never shown -- of wealthy author Robin Masters, who wrote bestselling novels with titles like 'The Seamy Side of Dawn,' 'Blood of the August Kitten' and 'Die and Die Again.' After Welles died of a heart attack in 1985 (just hours after appearing on 'The Merv Griffin Show'), Magnum began to question whether or not Robin Masters actually existed, or if Higgins was actually Masters.

"SPARTACUS" RENEWED FOR SECOND SEASON

Starz has given a second-season pickup to its series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" -- a month before the show begins its first season.

The pickup allows the series, which is produced by Sam Raimi and is based on the Roman gladiator who led a slave revolt, to go back into production early next year -- and presumably deliver new episodes to Starz sooner than it otherwise would have. It stars Andy Whitfield as the title character and also features John Hannah and Lucy Lawless.

Season two is likely to be titled "Spartacus: Vengeance," Starz says. Here's the cable channel's latest blood-soaked trailer for the first season, which premieres Jan. 22.

"FLASHFORWARD" DVD COMING IN FEBRUARY

Here's an interesting tactic: releasing a DVD set for a show smack dab* in the middle of the first season.

Disney/ABC has announced that they will release FlashForward: Volume 1 on February 26. That's "Volume 1" and not "Season 1," because the season isn't over yet. This release will come a week before the show returns to the network on March 4 to finish out the first season (with the big event that affects the entire world happening on April 10).

Looks like they're trying to get the attention of viewers before the show returns and maybe get people to buy the DVD set so they can get caught up on what has happened so far (and be reminded of what has happened so far - four months is a long time to wait when you have a first season show that isn't a ratings hit). Glee is doing this too, but I can see people buying that.

Couldn't they just have a marathon of the episodes a few days before it comes back? I'm really curious to see how many people will jump at the chance of buying this.

* People don't use the phrase "smack dab" enough.

MEET THE NEW CAST OF "THE BIGGEST LOSER"

Danny Cahill became the latest person to win The Biggest Loser, when he dropped 239 lbs. in 7 months. NBC has now introduced the latest cast to participate is the couples edition of the series.

This new season, set to premier on January 5, is the heaviest cast ever with one of the contestants weighing an astonishing 526 lbs. The 526 lbs man is Michael Ventrella, a 30-year-old DJ from Chicago, who will be participating with his mother, Maria Ventrella, a 51-year-old corporate travel agent.

“I would do anything for Michael,” mom Maria, weighing in at 281 lbs., told PEOPLE. “At first I didn’t think I could do it because I have too many responsibilities at home. I have a husband who is disabled, my mom in a wheelchair, a full-time job, home cleaning — it’s a lot. But then he needed it so bad and so I am here, and I need it for myself, too!”

NBC is already starting to feel the heat as many are criticizing them for having such an obese man as a cast member. Critics believe the extent of activity the cast has to go through might be dangerous for some of the more obese cast members. “I’m waiting for the first person to have a heart attack,” said Dr. Charles Burant, a professor of internal medicine at the University of Michigan telling the NY Times in a recent article. “I have had some patients who want to do the same thing, and I counsel them against it,” Dr. Burant said. “I think the show is so exploitative. They are taking poor people who have severe weight problems whose real focus is trying to win the quarter-million dollars.”

The show is set to return January 5th on NBC as the contestants will be competing for the grand prize of $250,000 or $100,000 at-home prize. Host Alison Sweeney and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels are all set to return to The Biggest Loser: Couples.

"tHE GOODE FAMILY" TO AIR ON COMEDY CENTRAL

"The Goode Family," the satirical animated series from Mike Judge, John Altschuler and Dave Krinsky, will air on COMEDY CENTRAL beginning January 4, 2010 in a secondary run. "The Goode Family," which premiered on ABC in May 2009, is produced by Media Rights Capital, Ternion Pictures and 3 Arts Entertainment.

 

The complete first season of "The Goode Family" will air on COMEDY CENTRAL on Monday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, giving vegans, lesbians, right-wing conservatives, Prius owners, Texas-rednecks and liberals-who-canlaugh-at-themselves a second chance to fall in love with the Goodes.

"Mike, John and Dave certainly turn the tables on liberals with this show. That's not done very often on television, but the humor comes from skewering extremism and taking things too far, either to the left or the right," said Modi Wiczyk, Co-CEO of MRC. "We know COMEDY CENTRAL viewers will embrace 'The Goode Family.'"

 

Meet Gerald and Helen Goode, a couple who live by the motto WWAGD (What Would Al Gore Do?). Gerald, a college administrator, and Helen, a community activist, are determined to obliterate their carbon footprint on the planet: they're zealous vegans, drive a hybrid and recycle everything possible. Even the family dog, Che, is vegan. In the words of Helen, all the Goodes want to do is buy organic apples and call minorities by their right names. But despite their best efforts, something always goes haywire with their politically correct plans.

"The Goode Family" is voiced by Mike Judge as Gerald, Nancy Carell as Helen, Dave Herman as Ubuntu, Linda Cardellini as Bliss and Brian Doyle Murray as Charlie.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES: A SNEAK PEEK

When Vampire Diaries returns, Elena (Nina Dobrev) will have a lot of questions. Mainly, why on Earth does she look like Stefan's dead lover? Based on the sneak peek below, it looks like she'll turn to the other Salvatore brother for "comfort" — and the two of them becoming friends can only mean bad things are ahead.

Also, Bonnie (Katerina Graham) is coming closer the uncovering the past, and goes to the place where all the murder began in Mystic Falls. Get a sneak peek at the return of Vampire Diaries below, and don't forget to tune in all this week for the Dairies marathon on the CW.

The show returns on Thursday, Jan. 21.

TNT TO AIR "SUPERNATURAL" REPEATS STARTING MONDAY, JANUARY 4

TNT has required the off-network rights to one of my favorite shows The CW's "Supernatural".  This is a great show that I am highly recommending to people who have not had to pleasure to watch. 

"Supernatural" stars Jared Padalecki(Sam Winchester) and Jensen Ackles(Dean Winchester), as brothers who hunt demons and other figures of the paranormal.  The show premiered in 2005, and I promise you  have never missed an episode.

This is a show that gets better every year and that is a saying a lot, when it is already great.  There are rumors that this could be the  last season.  I believe the creator(Eric Kripke) has stated publicly that his plans were to always stop the show after 5 years.  I sure hope he changes his mind.

Repeats of the series will air weekdays at 10:00 AM ET beginning with the pilot episode on Monday, January 4.

DEXTER: SEASON FINALE REVIEW (SPOILERS INCLUDED)

Let me first start out by saying the season finale of Dexter did not disappoint.  I swear my heart was racing from the moment the opening credits started.  This episode was so hard to watch and  I am still a bit horrified by what I saw in the last 5 minutes.  To say the least.

As any fan of Dexter knows someone always dies in the season finale, but with those deaths, there is no residual effect, it is usually a relief for the audience, because Dexter has once again gotten the bad guy.

If you haven't yet seen tonight's season finale episode, do not read another word.

The finale picked up exactly where last week left off with the faceoff between Dexter and Arthur.  I don't think as a viewer we have ever seen an emotionally out of control Dexter before and thank God, because there would be no way to explain how he could be so successful at not getting caught. If this episode showed us anything, it is how important it is for Dexter to follow the code.

After the calm, but intimidating confrontation between Dexter and Arthur at the precinct, we knew that Arthur would pay with his life.  I think Harry said it best when he asked Dexter "Do you have a plan?

Well, by now we all know now that he didn't and in the world of Dexter, that is a big mistake.
                 





The Trinity Killer killed Rita and left Harrison sitting in her blood. I never saw this one coming. If just for the fact that Rita and the kids are what helps Dexter feel somewhat normal and whole.  What will happen to Dexter and his family now that she has been murdered? How will Dexter deal with finding his son sitting in his mother's blood in the same way that Harry found Dexter?

When Jennifer Carpenter spoke with TV Guide last week and said that "you will need a therapist after the season finale", boy was she right.

Believe it or not Rita's death wasn't the only big reveal of the night.  Deb found out that the Ice Truck Killer" and Dexter were brothers. Although it seems like this piece of shocking news didn't change her feelings towards Dexter, I do believe next season Deb will start to pay a little bit more attention to Dexter's peculiar behaviour.

 I think Dexter has been picked up for two more season, but I feel this season finale episode was also the start of Deb finally learning that Dexter is a serial killer.  I  don't know about you , but I can not wait for next season.

There are so many questions about how this season ender will affect Dexter.

1.Will  Batista remember he saw Dexter talking with Arthur at the precinct?
2.Will Dexter continue to follow the code?
3.Will Deb become obscessed with finding out why Trinity targeted Dexter?
4. Will Dexter raise all three kids?
5. Will Arthur's family return and discover that Kyle Butler is really Dexter Morgan?
6. Will Quinn back off or will Rita's murder make him more curious about Dexter?

I will stop right now because these types questions are going to drive me insane until September.

My hat off to the writers for giving the fans one of the all time great season enders.

"The Vampire Diaries" is set for a holiday marathon next week when The CW airs the first 10 episodes over five nights Monday through Friday.

To prep newbies to the show and whet uberfan's thirst for vampire blood, The CW released a variety of interviews with the stellar cast, including Katerina Graham (Bonnie Bennett) and Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes).

The actresses discuss the series' phenom factor, how life has changed since landing the series and their favorite vampire movies. Unfortunately, there's no 411 on what's in store for the remainder of "Vampire Diaries'" season.

But Graham does joke that she doesn't know if Damon wants to eat her, kill her, or protect her. Hmmmm, when Damon is involved, does it really matter?

DEXTER: SEASON FINALE SPOILER CLIP

This is big!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For us "Dexter" fans, we have been waiting for this moment. I can't wait until this Sunday for the season finale. Forget about the "Trinity Killer" showdown between Arthur and Dexter. I can't wait to see the rest of this scene between Dexter and Deb.

I wonder will she tell Dexter that the "Ice Truck Killer" is his brother, and will this change how she looks at Dexter.

I mean think about it, your ex- fiance turns out to be the serial killer that you have been tracking, who then tries to kill you before he is murdered. This same ex-fiance/serial killer,now turns out be son of the woman your father had an affair with before she was murdered in front of her two boys.

That's not even the end of story. The two boys are then separated, one goes into the foster care system and grows up to be "The Ice Truck Killer" and the other your father brings home to be raise as your brother Dexter.

Now, granted Dexter is aware of his family history, so the only question here is what will Dexter do,now that he knows that Deb knows the truth about how he came into her family?

So many questions, I can't wait until Sunday.

MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE: PILOT REVIEW ( A MUST SEE)

 “Men of a Certain Age”, the Ray Romano-Scott Bakula- Andre Braugher new TNT series premiered last night and I hope that I am not speaking to soon, but I love this show already.

The show tells the story of three male friends who have reached that point in life called middle-age.  Romano, who co-created and co-wrote the pilot with Mike Royce, plays Joe, a party supply store owner and father of two teens.  Joe is also not quite ready to admit that his marriage is over, due to his gambling addiction.  We see in the pilot that his gambling addiction will wreck havoc in future episodes.  I was really pleasantly surprised with Romano portrayal.  He goes far beyond anything he showed his fans in ‘Everybody Loves Raymond” The anxiety and angst of Joe, tampered in with self deprecating humor was executed perfectly by Romano.

Scott Bakula co-stars as Terry, a lifelong bachelor and aspiring actor. Terry is essentially an actor, who feels that auditioning for TV-movie jobs are beneath him.  He takes random jobs that he could care less about and sleeps with random women.  I am really looking forward to seeing how this character develops.

Then there’s Andre Braugher who plays Owen, a married father of three.  He sells cars at his father’s dealership, though he doesn’t like the work and is not good at it, he feels and believes that his father will leave everything for him to run in the future. When his father tells him that he is a disappointment and he will not succeed him in the family business and walks away, well let me just that it was heartbreaking watch.

I would truly recommend this show.  “Men of a Certain Age" deals with real life situations told through the lives of three very different life long friends, who you can’t help, but root for in the end.

"Gossip Girl" left us hanging Monday night with a car crash -- what is in store for our UESers in the new year? Video below.

According to the trailer below, it looks like Serena and Nate will finally be hooking up (again) and possibly in a coat closet of some sort. Blair and Serena appear to be fighting and it also looks like things are not hunky-dory for Rufus and Lily.




According to Andrew McCarthy's description of the episode he directed, there's a "Nine 1/2 Weeks" thing happening, which implies to us that somebody has her eyes set on Rufus. Couple that with the casting of Sherri Saum ("Sunset Beach," "Rescue Me," "In Treatment) as Holland Kemble, a powerful business executive-turned-Upper East Side trophy wife, and we think we're got ourselves some drama for the grown-ups.

"Gossip Girl" is on hiatus until further notice, as the CW is trotting out new show "Life UneXpected" in its timeslot starting Jan. 18.

SNEAK PEEK: THE NEW SEASON OF"KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS"

The new season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians is set to premier this Sunday on the E! network, and if the video preview below is any indication of what is to come, we can be assured it will be a drama filled season!

In the sneak peek of the fourth season premiere of the hit show, we can see Khloe Kardashian angrily confronting Scott Disick, the boyfriend and father of Kourtney Kardashian’s baby (due this month).

The argument begins when Khloe accuses Scott of purposely getting her sister pregnant so she wouldn’t leave him. Kourtney and Scott reportedly broke up in January after she accused him of cheating but got back together after she learned she was expecting.

“You thought she was going to leave you, so that’s why you knocked her up,” Khloe screams at Scott. “You wanted to just keep her for 18 years and not let anyone else have her,” continues Khloe. To which Scott shoots back, “18 years? I want her for eternity.” Khloe then slaps Scott across the face.

All interesting, wonder how Khloe would feel if Kourtney ever decided to slap her husband, Lamar Odom, across his face. The new season will focus on the changes in the lives of the sisters. Khloe’s new marriage, Kourntey’s pregnancy, and Kim dealing with her break up from NFL player, Reggie Bush. The two reportedly got back together back in September.

The fourth season will premier Sunday, Dec. 13 at 10/9c, on E! The video sneak peak is below -

ADAM LAMBERT BOOKED FOR "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE" FINALE

I guess it is now ok to have Adam Lambert perform live again.  Lambert has been tapped to perform during the "So You Think You Can Dance"  season finale.

Lambert will perform on the two-hour grand finale Wednesday, Dec. 16 (8-10 p.m. EST live/PST tape-delayed).

The American Idol  runner-up singer had pretty much been restricted to just talking about his music since the  controversy following an highly sexual performance at the American Music Awards.

To be fair ABC was the only network to cancel previously booked performances, following numerous complaints after the AMAs.  But, now even ABC has somewhat come around, he will appear on the "The View" this Thursdays in a taped interview and performance..

MONK: SERIES FINALE REVIEW

I just watched the series finale of "Monk" and it was one of the best season finales I have seen in a long time.  I wasn't sure of how the writers would tie up all of the loose ends, and at the same time give Monk  and his fans the happy ending they so wanted for him.

The finale started with Monk trying to gather the courage to watch  the tape of Trudy telling him about a secret she had kept from him  throughout their marriage.  I swear everytime Monk hit the pause button out of fear of what she would say next was just heartbreaking.

The tape revealed the mystery surrounding Trudy's murder.  Her killer was Judge Rickover(Craig T. Nelson), an ex-lover  from her college years. He killed Trudy to keep secret that  the two had an affair when she was his student that resulted in a child. 

Once Monk  figured out that Judge Rickover had also killed the midwife to protect his secret, there was nothing left for him to do but get a confession and then kill the judge.  But in the end Monk couldn't kill the Judge, that's just not his style.  The Judge, however being the coward that he was realizes that his life is all but over, so he grabs Monk's gun and shoots himself.  "Take care of her" were the last words the Judge said before he died, this turned out to be another loose end for Monk, he couldn't figure out what the Judge meant , so therefore he didn't have full closure.

The last part of the mystery surrounding Trudy was her daughter "Molly".  The daughter that she thought had died was put up for adoption 26 years earlier.     To say the meeting with Trudy's daughter Molly was emotional, would probably be the understatement of the year. He couldn't  stop crying and looking at her.  So in the end Monk was finally happy again.  He had his Trudy back in the form of Molly.

I think Natalie said it best when Monk was hesitant about meeting Molly,"Trudy sent you a gift, she sent you someone to love, that's what you have been missing".

Tony Shalhoub delivered  a great performance in both parts of the finale and left you wanting to more.  Great job  once again Tony Shalhoub.

I love a happy ending  and that is exactly what Monk's series finale gave its fans.

"UGLY BETTY" MOVES TO WEDNESDAY NIGHT

ABC has now confirmed that "Ugly Betty" will indeed  move to Wednesday night starting January 6, 2010.  "Ugly Betty" to replaced the canceled show "Eastwick". Although all signs point to this being  Betty's last season this move could turn out to be a move in the right direction for those of you fans holding out hope.

Moving Betty from Friday night to their most successful Wednesday night  of comedies can only help with the ratings. This move also shows ABC is not quite to ready to give up on a program that showed so  much promise in the beginning.
