SPOILERS:BIG BROTHER 13 (WEEK 1)

Released by Miss TV Girl

OK, it looks like "Big Brother 13" is off to good start.  I usually hate the games where you are forced to pair with a stranger,  just imagine having a strategy to get to the final three all mapped out  and the powers that be throw a wrench into your plan with a forced pairing, I would be livid.  I still believe that you can apply my  rules and get very far in the game, its just a little bit harder. But, I think that I am going to like this twist, due to the return of  the  past "Dynamic Duos".  Speaking of the past "Dynamic Duos", Rachel won  the Head of Household

The returning house are

Rachel and Brendan: I am so not looking forward to a another season of Rachel's laugh, I have to admit the two did play and interesting game during their season, but their downfall was not following Rule #2

Jeff and Jordan: All I can say is Jordan is the luckiest player in "Big Brother" history and not following Rule #2 helped her win the season.  Jeff, however lost because he ignored Rule #2.

Dick and Danielle:  I am not really interested in seeing these two go very far together, but they were very good during their season.  Evil Dick is a lot of personality handle and watching Danielle look like she is scared to death of him is very uncomfortable.

Big Brother also decided to throw a another twist in the game.  When you are nominated for eviction this summer and you survive the chopping block, you will receive the "Big Brother Golden Key", which guarantees you a spot in the Top 10.  Anyone who survives eviction cannot be nominated  or participate in any competitions until only 10 people remain in the house. So, being on the chopping block doesn't have to be a bad thing this season, if you can secure the votes.

IT'S OFFICIAL"ALL MY CHILDREN" AND "ONE LIFE TO LIVE" TO CONTINUE ONLINE

ABC PRESS RELEASE

BURBANK, CA – July 7, 2011 – ABC has licensed its iconic soaps, “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” to Prospect Park, it was announced today by Brian Frons, President, Daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group & Janice Marinelli, President, Disney/ABC Domestic Television and Rich Frank & Jeff Kwatinetz of Prospect Park.  The exclusive multi-year, multi-platform deal enables the soaps’ stories to continue beyond their finale dates on ABC.  ABC will broadcast its final episode of “All My Children” on Friday, September 23^rd and will air the final episode of “One Life to Live” in January, 2012.

The licensing agreement, brokered by Disney/ABC Domestic Television Group, enables Prospect Park to continue production of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” beyond their life on ABC. Prospect Park will produce and deliver the two long-running programs to consumers via online formats and additional emerging platforms including internet enabled television sets. Under the terms of the arrangement, the programs will continue to be delivered with the same quality and in the same format and length.  Additional details of the new productions and tune-in will be forthcoming from Prospect Park.

“We are privileged to continue the legacy of two of the greatest programs to air on daytime television, and are committed to delivering the storylines, characters and quality that audiences have come to love for over 40 years. ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ are television icons, and we are looking forward to providing anytime, anywhere viewing to their loyal community of millions,” said Frank and Kwatinetz. “Technology changes the way the public can and will view television shows.  Now that there are so many devices available in addition to television sets, viewers are taking advantage of watching shows wherever they are and on any number of devices.  The driving force in making the switch and attracting new audiences is to have outstanding programs that people want to watch. We believe that by continuing to produce the shows in their current hour format and with the same quality, viewers will follow the show to our new, online network.”

“’All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ are iconic pieces of television history that captivated millions of fans since their beginning over 40 years ago,” said Frons. “Each of the shows have made an indelible mark on our culture’s history and informed our consciousness in their own way.  We are so glad Prospect Park has assumed the mantel for these shows and that they will continue for the fans.”

Marinelli continued, “From the time the shift in the daytime strategy was announced, our hope was to find a new home for these treasured shows.   We are thrilled to license them to Prospect Park so the stories of life in Pine Valley and Llanview can continue to be told for the passionate and loyal fans that enjoy watching each day.”

“I’m just so happy that ABC found a home where the legacies of ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ can continue.  I’m excited for their future with Prospect Park,” added Agnes Nixon, creator of both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.”  “It takes a lot of living to make a soap opera a serial, and the wonderful teams on both shows have done just that. Together, we are a big family that keeps going, and I’m looking forward to working alongside these wonderful people as we ensure that the shows will continue with all the love and excitement we’ve always had.  I also am so happy for our loyal fans, whom we love so much, and who have been so supportive over the last 40 plus years.”

Prospect Park is a media and production company founded in 2009 by entertainment industry veterans Jeffrey Kwatinetz and former Disney Studios head Rich Frank. Along with successful film and music divisions, the company’s television group has numerous shows in development and breakout network hits airing, including “Royal Pains” and “Wilfred.”

In April, ABC announced that it was expanding the focus of its daytime lineup to include more programming that is informative and authentic and centers on transformation, food and lifestyle.  “The Chew,” an innovative and groundbreaking daily talk show that celebrates and explores life through food, will premiere on September 26^th.  “The Revolution,” a daily show about health and

MISS TV GIRL'S DOS AND DON'T FOR WINNING "BIG BROTHER 13"

Released by Miss TV Girl

My one and only favorite reality television series "Big Brother" returns tonight. Following the premiere on Thursday, July 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), BIG BROTHER will be broadcast three nights weekly, beginning Sunday, July 10 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Wednesday, July 13 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and the LIVE eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, beginning Thursday, July 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).

Like previous years, I will continue to give spoilers and updates about the events inside the house throughout the season.

I am really really hoping for some smart players instead of emotional players this year.  Now don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with going inside the Big Brother house and making friends and alliances, but you can not forget that you are in there to play a game and win a lot of money and so are your fellow houseguests.  So don't be surprised if someone lies to you.

I still believe that for anyone entering the house watching the Will and Dan seasons are a must. Now the two of of them played very risky and dangerous games, but at the same time they were never careless and dumb. Do we all remember Ronnie from "Big Brother 11" ? Dumb!

So here are my rules for how to win "Big Brother 12"

1.Watch the Will and Dan seasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. Don't fall  in love with a fellow houseguest, you instantly become a target because the house knows that you two will protect each other

3. Don't take anything personally, when you do, your game becomes emotional and you lose

4.TRUST NO ONE, remember you do not know these people and they are there to win, so always follow your gut.

5. Head of Household vote to evict your target, not the target of the house.

If the players  follow the five above rules, I can promise you a place in the Finale 3.

Now, if you end up in a house like "Big Brother 11, consider yourself very very lucky because theses rules do not apply. Why? Because everything will be based on luck . Let's not forget Jordan won the game.

"Big Brother" follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. Each week, the Houseguests vote someone out of the house. At the end, the last remaining Houseguests receives the grand prize of $500,000.

NO MORE "COVERT AFFAIRS" FOR MISS TV GIRL

 Released by Miss TV Girl

I decided to take the USA spy drama off of my DVR.  Why?  I am just not enjoying the show anymore, and in all honesty I am not sure if I ever did.  I watched the complete 1st season and the three episodes that have aired this season and have come to the conclusion that it is just a complete waste of time. In two words "it's boring "and nothing continues to happen week after week.  After 14 episodes, I don't care about these characters at all. Why? Because the writers haven't done anything in the way of character development to make me care.

I am really upset about this because, I totally love Christopher Gorham and I really like Piper Perabo.  These two were the only reason why I gave the series a chance and continued to watch week after week.

DANNY PINO AND KELLI GIDDISH JOIN "LAW & ORDER:SVU"

 Released by Miss TV Girl

Danny Pino and Kelli Giddish ave signed on as series regulars for season 13 of "Law & Order: SVU"

Pino (Cold Case) will replace Christopher Meloni  who left the show last month after contract negotiations went south.   Giddish(Chase) will fill in for Mariska Hargitay, who's reducing the number of episode"s she's appearing in this season.

I'm very pleased that we have two amazing actors joining the cast," "SVU" creator Dick Wolf says. "I know this combination will give us the opportunity to explore the world of 'SVU' with new eyes."

I am unfamiliar with Giddish's work, but I really enjoyed Pino on "Cold Case", looking forward to next season and seeing how all of these cast changes play out.

SNEAK PEEK: "TRUE BLOOD" SEASON 4

Released by Miss TV Girl

The fourth season of True Blood starts June 26, but believe it or not I have just started watching the series this month and boy am I enjoying this show.  I can't believe I am 3 seasons behind, especially with all the hype that has surrounded the series since day one.  Not having HBO is not enough of a an excuse, because I have never missed an episode of "Curb Your Enthusiam" and its on HBO. Also, considering my  obsessive affinity for anything that involves vampires, werewolves, witches and  my new favorite shapeshifters.

Please check out the below clip for the 4th season of "True Blood".  I am only on the 1st season, so I have a lot of episodes to watch before the show returns next month.

"True Blood" season 4 returns Sunday, June 26

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" is truly one of my favorite shows and  I am counting down to its July 10 return.

CRIMINAL MINDS WELCOMES BACK PAGET BREWSTER AND A.J. COOK, BUT BIDS FAREWELL TO RACHEL NICHOLS

Released by Miss TV Girl

Criminal Minds continues to play musical chairs with its cast.  The the successful CBS series has decided to welcome back Paget Brewster and A.J. Cook for season seven as series regulars.  Now this bit of casting news leaves recently promoted to series regular Rachel Nichols out of job.  BUMMER!!  Meanwhile co-star Thomas Gibson still doesn't have a deal, negotiations are ongoing, maybe if his negotiations go the way of Chris Meloni (Law & Oder: SVU), the series can invite Rachel Nichols back.

At this point I don't really care, I have watched "Criminal Minds" from day one and continued to watch even after the very talented Mandy Patinkin left after season two. Six years of doom and gloom is enough, I found myself dreading to watch the series.  Also, I don't know if it is just me, but  the characters have become so depressing and  the cases are so much more violent. Its just not fun tuning in to watch every week.

SNEAK PEEK: "KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS" RETURNS SUNDAY, JUNE 12

 E! Press Release

In season six, the Kardashians put family first in order to spend more quality time together, igniting a whole new adventure when secrets they've been keeping from each other are revealed. The 12-episode, highly anticipated new season is produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim/Murray Productions and premieres Sunday, June 12th at 10:00pm ET/PT only on E!

With Kim in love and constantly on the road; Kourtney and Khloé managing their own households in addition to their three DASH boutiques; and Kris managing everyone's careers, the whole family has to make concerted efforts to stay connected. The season kicks off with Kourtney being upset that Kris seems to have forgotten the real meaning of family and has turned the Kardashians into a business. Taking matters into her own hands, Kourtney plans a gathering for the family where the only item on the agenda is having fun. Unfortunately, not everyone got the memo and things quickly go awry.

This season fans will get an inside look at Kim's relationship with new beau New Jersey Nets star Kris Humphries, who Kim thinks is "the one." Kourtney and Khloé divulge they are wary of investing their emotions into Kim's new relationship.

Meanwhile, Kourtney and Scott have finally moved into an amazing new home, and Scott goes up against his girlfriend in a battle to reclaim the key she gave Kris. Scott pushes Kourtney to get it back, but she doesn't want to hurt her mom's feelings. But the tables turn and Kourtney is soon disappointed when she learns that Kris strongly disapproves of her trying to have another baby out of wedlock.

Despite the spats, the family members come together to support each other, and the three older sisters take the younger ones under their protective wings. For starters, Kim takes Kendall to The Big Apple to help jump-start her burgeoning modeling career, but the teen is quickly overwhelmed trying to keep up with her famous sister's work ethic. And when Bruce finds Kendall is using birth control, Khloe jumps in help Bruce have "the birds and the bees talk" with his two youngest daughters. Later, Kris worries she's not aging gracefully and contemplates plastic surgery. Luckily, Bruce is there to encourage her to tackle getting older with the same verve she uses in her business endeavors.

Also this season, the family takes a long overdue vacation to the tropics in honor of Kris and Bruce's 20th wedding anniversary. Away from the red carpets and business meetings, the family is able to have some fun in the sun and share the closeness they had before Kardashian became a household name. But things don't stay so sunny in paradise - when strong personalities come together, cloud bursts are inevitable. Kris Humphries joins Kim on the trip, and his first foray into a Kardashian vacation isn't without its rough patches. Scott finds it difficult to enjoy the celebrations in moderation, and he and Rob finally address the tension that's been simmering between them since Kim's birthday party in Vegas over a year ago.

CHRIS MELONI SAYS GOODBYE TO LAW & ORDER: SVU AFTER 12 SEASONS

Released by Miss TV Girl

I guess those negotiations didn’t quite go his way.  Chris Meloni who has played the often loose cannon sex crimes Detective Stabler will not be returning for season 13.  Creator Dick Wolf , who we all know has no problem axing an actor and replacing them before you can  blink is already looking for a big name to bring in opposite series regular Mariska Hargitay.

The season 12 series ended with Meloni’s character being forced to kill an armed teenage girl who had opened fire on her mother’s murderer (among others) in the SVU squad room.  I am sure the trauma of that event will play heavily in explaining his departure .

Mariska Hargitay’s own deal to return for Season 13 remains unaffected

Showtime has decided not to renew “United States of Tara” after just three seasons. So, what does this mean for the fans of the series?  The June 20 season finale will now be its series finale.

On a positive note Showtime has renewed “Nurse Jackie” for a fourth season.

"THE MENTALIST" SEASON FINALE WAS AWESOME

 Released by Miss TV Girl

“The Mentalist” season finale was completely awesome.  OK I know it aired a couple of nights ago, but I just got around to watching the episode today.  Now in all honesty I was two steps away from not returning for the 4^th season.  Why? I started to feel like it was a drain to watch the show week after week; the cases weren’t as entertaining and started to become a little predictable (“Castle” any one).  But, tonights  2hour episode was a complete game changer and it had me on the edge of my seat up until the final reveal and demise of Red John, well done Bradley Whitford.

I don’t know if a lot of people were surprised that Patrick Jane shot and killed Red John in cold blood, but I wasn’t.  From day one he has said “I will kill Red John “and boy did he keep his word.  Creator Bruno Heller told TV Guide "We won't dodge any issues. Patrick won't wake up and discover it was all a dream. There will be consequences."

I am now so excited for next season, because I think the series really needed a game changer like this to shake up the series.  By the way I am not really sure that Jane killed the real Red John.  Once again great finale.

SNEAK PEEK: "TRUE BLOOD" 4TH SEASON

GENERAL HOSPITAL: INGO RADEMACHER FIRED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Released by Miss TV Girl

Ingo Rademacher(Jasper Jacks) has been let go after more than 15 years from ABC soap "General Hospital"

“It is with mixed emotions and regret that I write this note to you, my fans and colleagues,” the actor said in a statement. “After 15 years on GH portraying Jax I must say goodbye. I’m fired.”   No details regarding his last air date has been released.

I would like to say that I am sorry to hear this bit of news, but I am not.  I never really connected to this character at all and he was paired with the forever awesome Laura Wright.  However, I do wish Ingo and his family “Good Luck” and I am sure another soap will snatch him up really soon.

AMAZING TRAILER FOR NEW NBC FALL SERIES "AWAKE"

Ok, I haven't seen a lot of the sneak peeks for the new fall series, but I am really excited to watch NBC's "Awake".  Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.

"GENERAL HOSPITAL" NAMES NEW HEAD WRITER

Released Miss TV Girl

Brian Frons, president of Daytime, Disney/ABC Television Group announced today that Garin Wolf has been named head writer of  one the few remaining daytime dramas "General Hospital.  Now a girl can only hope and dream that this will improve the soap.  I have watched "General Hospital" pretty much my whole life with few complaints, but I am so ready to bail right now. The soap has become so repetitive in its storytelling and I so hate this whole Brenda storyline.  Now, I will be honest I never watched the Brenda  and Sonny years, so I was not invested nor moved by the pending reunion of the two, however I was excited to finally see this couple I had heard so much about together again.

In one word I was completely "Disappointed".  I know this might sound a little insane considering I am talking about a soap opera, but that Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo is a little over the top in the acting category.

At this point I am only tuning in for the Jason and Carly rerelationship, however my devotion to those two characters is wavering with each day that passes.

I really hope the first thing on Garin Wolf's agenda is to clean house on a lot of unnecessary characters(Olivia, Matt, Lisa, and Sioahan).  I know this will never happen, but if Dante and Kristina could just disappear into oblivion, it would be a great day in the world of Miss TV Girl.

WOW!!!!!!! - FOX CANCELS "HUMAN TARGET", "LIE TO ME", "BREAKING IN", "TRAFFIC LIGHT", AND "THE CHICAGO CODE

 Released by Hanh Nguyen/TVGuide.com

Fox giveth and it taketh away. In the wake of picking up several new series to order, the network has axed five shows — the action-packed Human Target, crime dramas Lie to Me and The Chicago Code , and freshman comedies Breaking In and Traffic Light, Deadline reports.

Human Target, starring Mark Valley, only averaged 6.33 million viewers in its second season, while Lie to Me, headlined by Tim Roth, pulled in an average of 5.84 million viewers for Season 3.

First-year cop drama The Chicago Code averaged 6.77 million viewers in the 11 episodes aired so far. According to HitFix, the remaining episodes will still air. As for the Christian Slater workplace comedy Breaking In, it's averaged 7.83 million viewers over the five episodes that have aired. The relationship comedy Traffic Light has averaged 3.66 million viewers in its 11 outings.

"Thanks for all the kind words everyone. We tried to make the best show we could and we thank those of you who watched it," Chicago Code creator and showrunner, and former Lie to Me showrunner, Shawn Ryan tweeted late Tuesday. "Sounds like Lie To Me has been cancelled as well. My sympathies to all the talented people over there."

In happier news, Fox is the first network to reveal its series orders for the comedies I Hate My Teenage Daughter and The New Girl and dramas Finder and Alcatraz.

In Teenage Daughter, two women (Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran) fret that their daughters are turning into the type of girls who picked on them in high school. Sherry Bilsing-Graham and Ellen Kreamer will executive-produce. Eric Sheffer Stevens, Kristi Lauren, Aisha Coleman, Kevin Rahm and Chad Coleman will also star.

The New Girl (which TVGuide.com had spotlighted as one of its 11 Promising Pilots) stars Zooey Deschanel as a brokenhearted elementary school teacher who moves away from her ex and instead bunks with three unruly guys. She'll be the second Deschanel on the Fox network, joining her sister Emily who stars on Bones.

Speaking of Bones, the forensic drama's spin-off Finder follows a former military policeman (Geoff Stults) with the ability to find anything. Saffron Burrows and Michael Clarke Duncan also star. The characters were introduced in a Bones episode in April. Hart Hanson wrote the pilot and will executive-produce.

Finally, Alcatraz centers on a cop (Sarah Jones) and a team of FBI agents who track down a group of missing Alcatraz prisoners and guards who reappear in the present day after disappearing 30 years earlier. J.J. Abrams will executive-produce and Liz Sarnoff (Lost) will be the showrunner. Jorge Garcia, Sam Neill, Jonny Coyne, Jason Butler Harner, Parminder Nagra, Santiago Cabrera and Robert Forster also star.
